This campsite offers a serene and picturesque setting with beautiful mountain views and peaceful surroundings. Many campers appreciated the privacy and the opportunity to explore rock formations and trails. However, some visitors noted that the access roads can be challenging, especially without a 4WD vehicle, and the campsites could use better maintenance to avoid scratches from overhanging limbs. Despite these minor issues, the majority of reviews reflect a positive experience with responsive hosts and the potential for a quiet getaway close to nature.
Beautiful 10+ mile drive up into the mountain. Nice and quiet once we reached the Hipcamp. The change in the time zone going to downtown Chattanooga from the Hipcamp threw us for a loop. Definitely would come back :)
What a gorgeous area! Mountain views, chilly weather and our dog was able to wander. The drive to the camping area on the rocks (pictures on hipcamp) is steep. We got in no problem but getting out, we got stuck. There is a secondary road that leads back to the driveway. Very secluded and well kept. Be careful when it rains, it gets quite muddy and can make it difficult for those without AWD or 4X4 vehicles to get out. I 100% recommend! Prentice Cooper state park and wildlife reserve (about a 12 minute drive) has lots of hiking opportunities
The land itself was really beautiful, lots of privacy. Would recommend getting there before dark if you are tent camping. Unfortunately the campers before left some trash but we tried to remove as much as we could fit. Land owner was responsive. Our sprinter van made it up the hill.
