Awesome View is appropriately named; we have nearly a 360 degree view of mountains—Blue Ridge and Massanutten. We have a field that is great for camping with farmland all around.
Lots of hiking, biking and skiing close by.
Within 4 miles you can visit Shenandoah National Park and Massanutten 4 Seasons Resort and in the summer a produce market with delicious fresh veggies. Nearby you can visit Luray caverns and others, Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah National Park, Appalachian trail, historic Charlottesville and Staunton.
Campers can look forward to stunning views and a welcoming atmosphere at this campsite. Located conveniently near Shenandoah National Park, it offers easy access and clear directions. Visitors appreciate the friendly hosts, scenic surroundings, and amenities like firewood and picnic areas. Some mention proximity to roads and noise, but generally, guests find it a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Beautiful camp spot! Well thought out camp spot and clear directions. Grass was almost level, wasn’t muddy even after a lot of rain. Electric worked perfect. Picnic table available and trails to walk. Dog friendly for well behaved dogs. Pretty horses that perked up every time they saw their owners. Train horn goes off every few hours at night and road noise is pretty constant. I put a fan on to block it out to sleep. I will definitely be back here. I’m in love with this property and the owner is friendly. Thank you for the lovely stay!
We had a beautiful stay here over Veterans Day weekend. The views are incredible, and it’s close to town, but not too close, so we were able to go and get groceries, or enjoy dinner out, without it turning into an hour excursion. We had no problems with the electric, and there was firewood available if we wanted it, but we didn’t need it. They also provide a fire pit and a nice picnic table, so it’s much better equipped than most Hipcamp sites, in our experience. And it’s a relative bargain, too. The owners were so nice and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.
This was an easy location to camp at. Firewood was available for a few bucks and at first glance, I thought the box along the fence was a Little Library but on closer inspection it contained information on ideas of what we could do around the area (I did leave a book anyway, I hope you like it :)
