The smells are unreal and groomed trails you can walk through. We welcome everyone, We ask that you respect the rules of the land. No Alcohol is permitted anywhere on site. This is our most import rule here.The night sky is the most black in the country, Dark sky conservation area is very close by. Bring your telescope or binoculars. The Ridge Retreat

The Ridge Retreat is 6 acres of beauty topped off with amazing waterfront and an awesome new dock. A gravel road has been prepared from the road access right down to the lake. We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. The trail "Easy Street" is definitely an easier descent and climb. Learn more about this land: Situated just off the main road, The Ridge Retreat offers you the privacy and beauty of 6 unspoiled acres. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. Deep, clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. There are 2 firepits should you decide to have a campfire - one at the road site (RV and trailer) and one at the waters edge. This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake. The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline. Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

Fagan Lake Heights

Located only 1 hour +/- to Ottawa or Kingston! This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site. There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water. Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well. If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

The rest of the property is of mixed bush forest and small meadow to the South end that can accommodate a RV.The property offers a pristine natural environment abundant with wild life, bird watching and plenty of excellent swimming and fishing spots.There is only one easily assessable RV spot available on the land for booking, this is a small clearing by the entrance area that can abominate up to a few RVs from one group exclusively, or be booked for a single RV to use exclusively.Accessing the remainder of the land is by way of a bush road that will require walking in approximately 1 km or by way of a 4 by 4 vehicle or ATV to access the waters edge. The K and P mixed use trail runs adjacent to the property and allows travel to Calabogie to the North or Sharbot lake and further South to Kingston by way of ATV right from the edge of the property.Sharbot lake is a short 15-minute drive from the property and offers all the amenity of a small town including a magnificent public beach that is ideal for small children.

Deer, bunnies, and even Coyotes roam freely on what has over the past 20 or 30 years become a young forest. This is a place of quiet reflection. however, it is also a great place to reunite with loved ones over exciting conversations, music, and drinks over the flame of a campfire. However, we exercise a quiet hours policy starting at 11pm. No loud music or loud talking. We are in close proximity to the first and most prominent vineyard in PEC. (Wauppos Estates). They have some of the best wine you will find here, and spectacular gardens on the lake with a south-facing dock. Grab a glass of wine and wander the grounds. They also have a petting zoo, ice cream, and a market where you can grab food, drinks, or some fresh local produce. Nearby there are blueberry and strawberry fields where you can pick your own fruit. Right around the corner from us we have our favourite wine maker at Amanda’s Winery.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to our Off-grid Waterfront Forest Campground! We have 20 Acres (mostly forested) and 4 campsites to choose from for both tent campers and RV/trailer campers. There is plenty of space to pitch your tent and a large area for parking. The site is suitable for RVs 45 feet or less (you will be parking on grass/gravel). The trail to the water is about a 10 minute hike from the parking area. The water has quite a lot of algae by the shore. Great for paddling or fishing not so much for swimming. There are multiple fire-pits scattered across the property. Compost toilet outhouse is by the parking area next to the shipping container. Choose from multiple sites from a grassy/gravel semi-private area near the driveway with car access or hike up the bedrock (50metres from driveway) for an amazing view of the stars and moon, or for optimal privacy, there are campsites available along the trails in the forest. We are located right by the Rideau Canal, Lock 45 - Lower Brewers (please note that bridge is currently under construction - access is through Sunbury road or Battersea) We also have many trails and lakes nearby and Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is only a 20-minute drive. This is a great hike close to Kingston, especially in the fall. The track is also groomed for XC Skiing in the winter. This is one of many possible hikes here and takes me between 1 and 2 hours. It's a great escape if you just have a little time. We run our property solely on solar energy so electrical output is minimal. There is a 3 prong extension cord available for use by the outhouse that can take small loads such as lights, charging electronics, and higher loads during sunlight hours. Campfires are permitted (firewood available at 5$/crate), pets are welcome, and potable water is available on the property. We also have wifi and cell reception!

The smells are unreal and groomed trails you can walk through. We welcome everyone, We ask that you respect the rules of the land. No Alcohol is permitted anywhere on site. This is our most import rule here.The night sky is the most black in the country, Dark sky conservation area is very close by. Bring your telescope or binoculars. 170 acre property consisting of 1.5 km stretching along a river with water falls at the fare East end of the property. The rest of the property is of mixed bush forest and small meadow to the South end that can accommodate a RV.The property offers a pristine natural environment abundant with wild life, bird watching and plenty of excellent swimming and fishing spots.There is only one easily assessable RV spot available on the land for booking, this is a small clearing by the entrance area that can abominate up to a few RVs from one group exclusively, or be booked for a single RV to use exclusively.Accessing the remainder of the land is by way of a bush road that will require walking in approximately 1 km or by way of a 4 by 4 vehicle or ATV to access the waters edge. The K and P mixed use trail runs adjacent to the property and allows travel to Calabogie to the North or Sharbot lake and further South to Kingston by way of ATV right from the edge of the property.Sharbot lake is a short 15-minute drive from the property and offers all the amenity of a small town including a magnificent public beach that is ideal for small children.

The 110-acre estate has been overtaken with Red Cedars at the front of the property, and also has a mature forest at the rear of the property. It has become a sort of refuge for wildlife. Deer, bunnies, and even Coyotes roam freely on what has over the past 20 or 30 years become a young forest. This is a place of quiet reflection. however, it is also a great place to reunite with loved ones over exciting conversations, music, and drinks over the flame of a campfire. However, we exercise a quiet hours policy starting at 11pm. No loud music or loud talking. We are in close proximity to the first and most prominent vineyard in PEC. (Wauppos Estates). They have some of the best wine you will find here, and spectacular gardens on the lake with a south-facing dock. Grab a glass of wine and wander the grounds. They also have a petting zoo, ice cream, and a market where you can grab food, drinks, or some fresh local produce. Nearby there are blueberry and strawberry fields where you can pick your own fruit. Right around the corner from us we have our favourite wine maker at Amanda’s Winery.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to our Off-grid Waterfront Forest Campground! We have 20 Acres (mostly forested) and 4 campsites to choose from for both tent campers and RV/trailer campers. There is plenty of space to pitch your tent and a large area for parking. The site is suitable for RVs 45 feet or less (you will be parking on grass/gravel). The trail to the water is about a 10 minute hike from the parking area. The water has quite a lot of algae by the shore. Great for paddling or fishing not so much for swimming. There are multiple fire-pits scattered across the property. Compost toilet outhouse is by the parking area next to the shipping container. Choose from multiple sites from a grassy/gravel semi-private area near the driveway with car access or hike up the bedrock (50metres from driveway) for an amazing view of the stars and moon, or for optimal privacy, there are campsites available along the trails in the forest. We are located right by the Rideau Canal, Lock 45 - Lower Brewers (please note that bridge is currently under construction - access is through Sunbury road or Battersea) We also have many trails and lakes nearby and Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is only a 20-minute drive. This is a great hike close to Kingston, especially in the fall. The track is also groomed for XC Skiing in the winter. This is one of many possible hikes here and takes me between 1 and 2 hours. It's a great escape if you just have a little time. We run our property solely on solar energy so electrical output is minimal. There is a 3 prong extension cord available for use by the outhouse that can take small loads such as lights, charging electronics, and higher loads during sunlight hours. Campfires are permitted (firewood available at 5$/crate), pets are welcome, and potable water is available on the property. We also have wifi and cell reception!
