A quiet place to get away with various wildlife to be seen including great swimming with more than 300 acres to explore, cleared trails for hiking, Thanks to a small blow down that went through a few years back.Dark clear nights for star gazing and so much more. There are eight separate sites, each with their own picnic table, fire pit, and outhouse. This is back woods camping .There is a shared beach with plenty of room for everyone. The lake is weedy in spots but just makes it better for fishing .Great place for all ages and of course all pet's welcome.
Turtle Springs offers a peaceful and private camping experience with scenic views of the lake. Many campers appreciate the clean facilities, including well-maintained outhouses, and the chance to disconnect from the digital world due to the lack of cell service. The campsites are spacious and provide a sense of seclusion, making it an ideal spot for families and groups seeking relaxation. Visitors frequently mention the natural beauty and tranquility of the area, as well as the friendly and attentive host, Kelly.
If you're looking for something in between provincial park and Algonquin camping this is perfect!
I had no issues finding the location of the property or the campsites as the directions provided were perfect. I just visited at the end of the season so I was the only one there. It is a perfect little getaway for anyone beginning to advance. I found it very peaceful and beautiful campsites were very large and for the most part flat for tent campers. The hiking trails we're very scenic especially this time of year lots of Wildlife and the Chipmunks were especially Brave on site. I had to switch sites due to boss baby being extremely windy but Kelly had no issue with that which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking to get away from the Provincial Park scene.
Thanks to Kelly and your family for a great stay
A beautifully developed campground, how I wish all campgrounds could be. Each site was like its own campground, separated by 50 meters or more, each with its own spotless outhouse. Everything was immaculate from the newly refinished picnic table to the almost complete absence of bits of plastic litter. This campground could serve as a model for those developing private campgrounds.
With almost no light pollution except lights on one nearby tower, the stars were amazing.
Despite arriving after dark, check-in was easy with a clear map found in a box at the entrance and clear signage. Excellent communication with my host.
Exceeded my expectations! I was so impressed by the care taken to maintain such pristine campsites. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. I am already excited for my next visit, can’t wait to return to this gem.
kelly maintains a beautiful pristine untouched property….the privacy and quiet was wonderful. It was my dogs first time camping and she loved every minute….i appreciated that I could have her off leash at the campsite…..kelly came and checked in on me when I first arrived as a single person travelling alone this started the stay off perfectly…the sites which have a very clean outhouse, fire pit and picnic table are spread out with lots of tree coverage between each site so there is plenty of privacy to truly experience the lake and enjoy camping without being on top of your neighbours…….Would definitely come
Back to this site in the future ❤️❤️
The camp site was perfect. Quiet, private with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed fishing from the shoreline of the site and caughting large mouth bass. The weather was a little nasy so we decided to leave a day early. Kelly was happy to provide a refund but we decided to take a credit and booked the same site for next year. 😁👍🏼
What a great campsite! Beautiful views, good tree coverage to give some protection from the wind and rain, a great fire pit and super clean outhouse.
