A special camping experience can be enjoyed at this spectacular location in QLD close to the NSW border for ADULTS ONLY i.e. 18 years and older and able bodied. Lamington National Park adjoins this outrageously beautiful property that features the waterfall made famous by actress Laura Dern in the iconic Sunsilk shampoo commercial filmed here in 1998. (LGBT welcome). PLEASE NOTE: The Hipcamp service fee varies according to the amount of the booking. For one guest for one night the service fee is 18% approx. of the camp site fee. Bookings at Natural Bridge Retreat have to be for a minimum of two nights. As most bookings are for two or more people for two or more nights, the service fee is generally 11.2%. A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation. There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks. You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau. Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers. Mobile reception (Telstra works the best), flushing toilets (ladies & gents), hot shower and campfires are permitted in designated locations - sorry no pets. We will e-mail further details upon receiving your booking including a link to a Release and Indemnity form that must be completed prior to entering the property and a link to a form to advise your vehicle type and camping mode. *All bookings must be for 2 nights minimum and in the peak periods/long weekends 3 nights minimum and 4 nights for the Easter holidays.

Waterfall Escarpment

Waterfall Escarpment

Beautiful views and amazing sites! A variety to pick from. We had picked the waterfall escarpment and were treated to amazing fairy pools above the waterfall! There was a hike trail with mountain and ocean views near our site, along with some cute cows to walk by. Had a flushing toilet and hot shower too! Was a beautiful sunrise and sunset behind the mountains. 4km down the road was the glow worm caves too! Would definitely come back.

Natural Bridge is a hidden gem!

Big Fig Site

Natural Bridge has been one of our favourite stays. It's a huge property surround by incredible nature, water holes, waterfalls and even friendly cows :) There are so many different site locations to keep going back to and lots to see. Keith was an absolute gem from the moment we arrived. He even helped us out of a bit of a pickle when we were leaving. Thanks Keith! We will be hading back there very soon. Don't let this gem pass you by.

If there were a hospitality Olympics, Keith and Zandra would be taking home the gold. From the moment we arrived, their warm welcome made us feel like long-lost friends rather than guests. They’ve mastered the art of hosting—going above and beyond in ways that make you question if you ever want to leave. And the property? Oh, it’s next-level stunning. Think pristine, beautifully maintained, and so clean you’d consider eating off the floor (though, you know, maybe use a plate just in case). Camping at Figtree

Fig Tree Campsites

Loved it! Went for valentines weekend with my partner and couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing, peaceful and romantic stay. The views were great, the waterfall was beautiful, well spaced out campsites, clean toilets and the land was very well maintained. The service was also exceptional, with a warm welcome at arrival and a number to text if you need any assistance or questions answered during your stay. We would have loved to do the walk up to the plateau however we were not prepared for the tall grass. Nevertheless, We will be back again and this time with appropriate hiking clothes.

Fig Tree Campsites

Beautiful place to camp. All the camp sites were well spaced apart, giving plenty of space for privacy. The sites were amazing and well kept. The amenities were clean and well looked after. The hosts were awesome, so helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing by the water!

Big Fig Site

We loved the Big Fig site at Natural Bridge Retreat. The Big Fig site is nice and secluded next to the beautiful flowing creek, only a short walk to the amenities. Very relaxing and worth the trip, we will definitely be back!
