No site, no response from host

Site 2 - Lakeside Camping on the Farm

We booked this spot last minute, got to the site, and there was no area marked or cleared for us to stay when we arrived. There are two camping sites on the listing, but the one was full, and the second was nowhere to be found, though we drove all over. We also reached out to the host, with no response. That was Friday, I'm writing this on the next Monday and still haven't heard anything from the host, despite multiple messages. The other site was all set up for glamping with fancy tents, a pavilion, etc, nothing like was listed through Hipcamp. The group there said they booked it through a different glamping website. Because there was no tent site, and we didn't get any response from the host, we ended up needing to scramble to get a hotel, costing us much more than anticipated. I still have not had any response from the host about our request for a refund.

Thank you so much forq an incredible stay at Dinwiddie Farms. Mr. Rao was a vert gracious host. The property was beautiful. We especially enjoyed the beautiful 35-acre lake. Looking forward to our next trip soon!

The pond and property is amazing. I caught several fish in the pond (bass, pike, sunflish/bluegill), but nothing of any good size. There is a small john boat available that worked well for my family, (just bring life jackets for everyone). The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the camp sights are not isolated and the large brick house is located about 300ish yards from the pond.. The two times i have been here there were not distractions or any form of activity from the main/large brick house, but just something to think about. If you are wanting to just relax and fish, float, swim, kayak or paddle, this place works very well and it's well off of paved roads so there are no distractions.

Lakeside Camping on the Farm

The small lake was great. The owner had a small john boat and paddles available . We caught several bass along the shore and from the john boat.
