3 nights at Cholderton Estate, near Stonehenge

We came for a family birthday getaway at the end of Feb. The hut is private but there is a two person hut reasonably nearby. The Shephards hut has everything you need outside and in, regardless of weather. We had moments eating out in the sun, then a brief hail shower and rainbow in the hot tub. One night was so clear we spent the evening star gazing from the hot tub. There is a farm and wild bird sanctuary nearby so an abundance of wild life throughout the day. Kites, peacocks, buzzards, peasants, deer etc. We did several local walks but the best for the kids was the farm > wood walk, which had a hidden wood swing too. The hosts were quick to help when we needed it and the location was very picturesque. It was a perfect birthday escape. We'd love to come back and see it in the summer!

1 night at Little Ranch Glamping

Loved our stay in the Canalside Cabin. Very cosy and atmospheric. Amazingly built and full of character and charm. It was lovely to be able to walk the dog along the canal towpath and amazingly quiet. We were sad not to be able to stay longer and will be back! Thanks for having us!

Weekend Trip to Romantic Country Glamping

Fantastic shepherd's hut. The location was reachable by public transport and walking (train to Trowbridge, X34 bus to Southwick Post Office, 15 min walk) so car isn't essential. The indoor heater made a huge difference, and the provided cake, bread, eggs, jam etc. were amazing and very generous. In reach of some good walks too. Would definitely plan to come here again, really loved it.

Weekend Trip to Cholderton Estate, near Stonehenge

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Lapwing Hut. The hut was cosy, clean and well heated so we were very comfy for our whole stay. All the facilities worked well, including the hot tub. Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts on a great stay! Would abosolutely reccommend to friends and family looking for a quiet change of scenery. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay on Susannah's land, a relaxing city break, we saw muntjac deer, birds of prey, wild rabbits! We loved bubbling away in the hot tub overlooking wintery scenes.

Fantastic stay in the cabin! Kids loved the play area & feeding the animals. The cabin is beautifully furnished, very comfortable & super cosy with the log burner. Vics & Rod are great hosts. We’ll definitely be back & highly recommend.

Had the most beautiful weekend with my family. My husband and 3 year old had such a magical weekend. We had so many plans to go explore but ended up staying mostly at the camp. This little "cozy home" as my 3 year old called it has everything you need, the complimentary eggs, hot choc and marshmallows were an absolute hit! The fire pit/BBQ was great, we used it for all our cooking! The fire wood is amazing!! The shower was mom's favourite! Hot and full pressure! And then to end it all off, the bed and linen!! We all slept so well. We went to bed with the foxes and we woke to owls hooting just before sunrise! Make sure to stock up at Durleighmarsh farm shop for your groceries, so fresh and so much choice!! Great communication with Alice. Definitely will be back!!

The Shepherd's Hut at Coombe Farm Glamping is only an hour or so from London and within easy reach of Goodwood, Cowdray and the south coast; yet once you're here, you'll feel as if you've stepped through the back of the wardrobe and into the ancient woodland that surrounds, unimpeded views towards the South Downs and barely another soul around. The hut stands alone in the field, so you will exclusively enjoy the tranquility the land has to offer. The Hut is equipped with fresh linen and towels, made extra cozy and warm with a beautiful flame and clean burning bio ethanol burner which creates a relaxed ambience, providing amazing heat for the chillier season stay. The wash area is compact with everything you will need for alfresco catering and dining, including a great camp compressor fridge. We also provide equipment to cook on the ample fire pit for an authentic camp experience. We have a revitalizing, hot and spacious shower, all run from our off grid system. We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views.
