I own and live on 190 acres but am beginning my Hip Camp experience with allowing camping on 120-acres. The property is hilly and wooded with miles of trails on the property as well as access to nearby state trail-systems. The Skegemog Swamp Preserve trailhead is several miles away and downtown Traverse is a 30-minute drive. A little over a mile from the campsite is an artesian well along a public roadway that is popular with campers and the site is mowed by a neighbor; this is quirky little water-source that has been there for well over 50 years. The Skegemog Swamp Preserve is home to bears that visit my property for the many raspberry and blackberry opportunities, so be aware.Park your camper or pitch your tent in this tucked away campsite surrounded by hardwoods. secluded spot close to Torch Lake
27 ft travel trailer
Absolutely loved camping on Robert’s land. The site was well maintained, and had a wide open space with lots of flat areas to park our teardrop camper. It was a great spot to be secluded and surrounded by lots of trees. Robert also had a steady supply of dry firewood for us available free of charge. Robert himself was also very pleasant as he met us at a nearby bar and lead us up to our site, which without all wheel drive I’m not sure that we would’ve made it.

Absolutely gorgeous area! Huge sites that allow you to truly rest and relax! Our dogs absolutely loved exploring the area. Host is very communicative. He even started a fire for us when be learned we would be arriving later in the evening. We could not stop talking about how much we loved the location and we will definitely be back!
