The campsite offers a serene and tranquil setting next to a picturesque creek, making it perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Many campers appreciated the company of free-roaming animals like a friendly pig and chickens, although some noted the pig's curiosity led to minor campsite disruptions. While the natural surroundings provide a peaceful atmosphere, some visitors mentioned that the site could benefit from better maintenance, particularly in terms of overgrown grass and fields. The location is praised for its proximity to Chimney Rock State Park, providing easy access to outdoor activities.

Met a super friendly pig when I arrived and an adorable dog as I packed up to leave. Site was private and clean!

The sites were very overgrown. The access to the creek was completely overgrown couldn't even get down there. Place was very quiet and I liked that. Had a little trouble with Wi-Fi first night but by second night was all good. Had a very friendly free roaming pig. We enjoyed the pigs company however we left campsite to come home to oour screen house completely ransacked by the pig, twice! It is where our kitchen was set up so I'm sure the smells where to much for the friendly pig to take. Not a huge deal just toppled some tables and knocked over a few things. Overall if the place was cared for a little better with some yard work I would consider it again.

We stayed for two nights and loved it so much that we didn't want to leave! We really appreciated that our three dogs could run off leash. There was some communication needed up front to ensure the safety of the chickens on property, who I believe usually run free during the day, which is something to keep in mind. There was also a pig in a harness that wandered around from time to time. In the end, everyone got along. One of the dogs on property stuck with us throughout our stay as well; we loved her company! There was a beautiful rocky area near the campfire rings that led down to a fresh water river where we cooled off and hung out during the heat of the day. There was no cell service for AT&T or Verizon but the WiFi worked beautifully. I worked remotely on my computer one day and had no issues.

Overall a great stay the site was right by the river and pretty secluded. The only thing was that the field was very overgrown and we were not able to communicate with the host.
