All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
After a short less than 5 minute walk, check out the sunset view out the back patio door, birds and squirrels chirping galore. Relax, have a campfire, dip your feet in the nearby brook and enjoy nature in this cozy and comfortable space. Explore acres of wooded area or visit some farm animals (chickens, turkeys, emus and sometimes cows)Are you trying to find yourself or hide from all of those trying to find you? Disconnect with the business of everyday life and reconnect with nature at Bootsie’s Back 40 where a cozy, NON SMOKING, private off-grid camp awaits your company in the woods. Available all year round, with a wood stove to provide heat and solar panels that provide some power. Flush camper toilet, no shower. Drinking water provided. Camp utility water is pumped using a ram pump (requires no electricity to operate) from the nearby brook . There is a comfortable double bed as well as a pull out couch and bunkie bed for the children. Access to four-wheeler/snowmobile trails if you’re looking for an off road adventure. Within 10 minutes to Amherst NS where you can purchase any amenities you may have forgotten Located 25 minutes from Tidnish kayaking, the Bird sanctuary walking trail, 20 minutes from Sackville NB waterfowl park. 30 minutes from quaint Pugwash with a lovely farmers market on Saturday’s. This is an off-grid cabin-camping experience. It is recommended that our guests have (some) camping/backcountry experience. Guests should have the basic understanding of how to light a fire in the woodstove, how to build a fire in the fire pit, how to safely prepare meals without a full kitchen, basic first aid knowledge etc.

We loved it there. Very quite and relaxing which was exactly what we were looking for. Wish we could of explored alittle more and maybe had a campfire but next time maybe. The cabin was very clean and inviting. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get away.

We had an amazing time at Bootsie's Back 40! The off-grid camping was a refreshing escape into nature, and we loved exploring the beautiful surroundings. The farm was a delightful surprise, with friendly chickens, curious ostriches, and gentle cows that made our visit even more special. If you’re looking for a fun getaway with adorable animals and a peaceful atmosphere, this is the perfect spot!

We loved this private, secluded getaway. The cabin was nicely decorated, you can tell there was so much attention to detail. There were plenty of boards games to keep us entertained on the rainy night. We walked along the trails within the property, enjoyed a cozy campfire by the cabin with the provided kindling and pre-cut wood. I was very happy to be introduce to all of the animals and spend some time visiting them. We will definitely look into staying again.

Beautiful and cozy!
Absolutely loved our stay and our hosts were amazing. Definitely coming back next time we are in NS. Being tucked away and with the wood stove, could not ask for anything better.
