All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
If you want to get away from the rat race for a while this is your ideal location. We take one booking at any one time. You have the site all to yourselves. Your site is three acres of privacy and seclusion, rainforest and a beautiful freshwater creek. Close to walks to Araluen Cascades and the Wheel of fire falls at Finch Hatton Gorge.
There are no facilities here, so you need to be fully self-contained. No wifi. No mobile coverage (great to get the kids off the screens). There is plenty of water, firewood and wildlife though. Sometimes you won't be able to access the site as creek floods in heavy rain - can be cut off.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Please note check in is between 2 pm and 5 pm unless arranged otherwise.
Access is best suited to 4WD or High Clearance vehicles. Not suitable for small cars.
The site is suitable for caravans/trailers 6 metres long or smaller. We can accommodate up to six vehicles on the site (for a large group. travelling together).
Forest Flying rainforest activity is next door. ($90 per person - booking essential). Please see www.forestflying.com for details.
NOTE: check our directions once your booking is confirmed.EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE SITE - 3 BEAUTIFUL ACRES ALL TO YOURSELF
We know that sometimes you just have to get away from everyone. If you want to get away from the rat race for a while this is ideal. 3 acres to yourself. The property is close to Finch Hatton Gorge and Eungella National Park with waterfalls and walks too.
We take one group at a time so you have the entire site all to yourselves. There is plenty of room for up to 6 vehicles if you want to bring friends or perhaps you are a couple and just want some privacy. Once we have shown you to the site we'll leave you alone to enjoy - no need to see anyone else if you don't want to!
There are no facilities available, no mobile coverage, just your group and mother nature including a beautiful fresh water creek.
The site is not suitable for large caravans (not enough turning space), but is suitable for Camper trailers, camper vans, motor-homes etc equipped with toilet.
Well behaved dogs are very welcome.
Ask us for an early check in or later check out.
Apart from Christmas week and Easter the price is just $30 per night for up to 2 people ($15 per additional person), before fees and taxes.

See you soon.

This campsite offers a tranquil, secluded experience deep within the rainforest, highlighted by a crystal-clear creek perfect for swimming and relaxation. Guests consistently praise its privacy, with many appreciating the peacefulness and natural beauty of the surroundings. The presence of diverse wildlife, including butterflies and fireflies, adds to the charm, making it ideal for nature lovers seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle. However, the site may present challenges for larger caravans, and visitors should be prepared for encounters with insects like March flies.

Private rainforest retreat 👌🏻
13 ft pop-up camper
Beautiful rainforest setting, with multiple areas to set up. All a short walk from the crystal clear creek that has some perfect swimming holes to cool off in. Very private location, and great amount of wildlife to observe.
Donna gave very detailed directions to get there easily, and was proactive to make sure we had a good stay.
Will book again in the near future

This is my go-to R&R spot. Not another soul around and a picturesque creek gurgling away all day & night. Tucked deep within the rainforest, it’s just what your mind and body need to reset from a busy life.

Amazing campsite (bring bug spray)
16 ft car
The site was beautiful and the hosts were amazing. The March flies came out in full force from around 11:30-5pm so just bring a bunch of insect repellent

13 ft travel trailer
We loved the peace and quiet, there were no other campers while we were there. Ulysses butterflies & beautiful dragon flies in the most vibrant blues was a treat to see while bathing in the very cold, but refreshing water. Surrounded by the sounds of nature & fresh air. And Fireflies at night, I haven't seen them in a very long time.
The only thing that was a negative was the sites weren't good for caravans, we managed with our 14' pop top but it was a struggle to manoeuvre it in and out of the site.
Otherwise, it is a beautiful peaceful camp site and we loved our 2 night stay.
