Camping with my son
Tent · With kids
Matt was a great host and very thoughtful. The site is huge with tons of trails and river access. The tent was comfortable (memory foam mattress). The site was very quiet and secluded making it easy to sleep. There are lots of historical stores nearby and the town of remington is quaint with lots of character. The stars are very clear at night with little light pollution. I can't recommend this site enough. Thank you Matt!

Tent · With kids
We enjoyed the privacy and Rappahannock River access. We brought our own tubes and followed a suggestion from Matthew to launch at Rector Tract park and since the river was low and slow, it took about an hour to float down to the Riverstone access point and the walk was relatively short to get back to the campsite. It was also nice that the composting toilet was in a small pop-up pod, and not in the tent as shown in the photos, so there was privacy when using it.

What a super neat spot. Amazing river access, a nature lover’s dream complete with luxe tent, table setup and bonfire pit with seating. It has all the perks of a backcountry site (no neighbors, (All kids of nature and silence) and all the amenities of a five star safari (luxury setup and even a potty). Matthew was super attentive and everything was set up well before we arrived.
