🔥 campfires as per shire rules are allowed between April 30th and October 1st 🔥 Thanks all
Our family moved to Toodyay 5 years ago after spending 8 years in Kalgoorlie, we dreamt of space to keep animals and raise our children. Avonbrook is ideal with its yearlong Creek and rocky outcrops for our Dexter cattle and Nigerian Dwarf x goats.
We hope to enjoy for many years to come.
We have 3 campsites at the moment, site A is the smaller of them. There are unfortunately a few ants nests around so please be aware and pitch up anywhere around the site thats best, even on the paddock side if suits... thanks, Sarah
PS the cows can be naughty and like to chew cords so keep the gate shut to resist temptation!
Hope you enjoy your stay on our land.
Proceeds go back into feeding livestock and the maintenance of our farm.
We appreciate it so much as an exchange of services and an amazing contribution towards raising our family thankyou
Please no camp-fires during shire restricted periods of 1st Oct till 30 Apr thanks
Lovely quiet place. Campsite A was a bit tight for a 21 footer but made it work! Site 1 is very small and site 2 is the largest. All have site camp fires but sadly we couldn’t used them due to fire restrictions. Plenty of sheep kicking around over the fence. Sarah let my daughters help feed the goats, and then she broke the news that the neighbour had two Highland bulls who just happened the be sauntering up the fence line towards us; well minds blown from my daughters, one of which is a massive Highland Cow fan; doona cover, big photo on wall, drink bottle, you get the idea! Must be fully self sufficient and will definitely be back when then fire restrictions are lifted!
We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place. The camp site was as described and very private. Directions and communication was top notch.
The site is well off the road and very quiet…. Just what we were after. Only a short drive into Toodyay for a beer and a feed at the Vic. Loved the sounds of the magpies and kookaburras in the morning and evening. Thanks Sarah for opening your place…
We had a great overnight stay
Our first time using hipcamp and first off grid camp site.
Loved the peace and quiet ,
We stayed at site 1 , just enough room for small van with awning but loved the running water in the creek right Infront of us. We saw blue rens and kookaburras and the stars at night were amazing.
Would definitely love to come back in spring and other cooler months..
Sarah was amazing at communicating and returning messages promptly.
Great spot , nice and peaceful, would be a perfect spot in the winter with a campfire under the stars . The night sky is amazing here.
Probably would advise to bring ant powder as there were alot of them at my camping spot (site 1)
Site 1 is more suitable for a small set up where as site A and site 2 have much more room .
You can hear the running water from the brook at night which is nice and relaxing.
A great place to come and unwind fit a night or two 😊
