Weekend Trip to Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

This place was AMAZING! Exactly what I wanted. Not near anyone. Perfect for my antisocial self 😉. It was just me and a friend, but this place has a ton of space. I love how it as the essentials for everything. I want to bring my grown kids back. They will love it.

We really enjoyed our time at the farm! The chickens were adorable and their eggs were fantastic. The whole place is beautiful and we will definitely be coming back.

1 night at Broken Tree Saloon

I travel for paddle boarding and recently stopped here to camp for the night. It was a quiet a peaceful night on the property. The host was very accommodating and helpful. If you prepare properly for the trip, and the camping gods are on your side, everything should be nice and easy. Wasting lots of money on expensive “ cheap “ hotels is not the move. Pulling over and spending the night with Mother Nature can be a great option. Spend the extra money on your trip or ape into some risky investment with big upside potential. Or just save it. Either way, QUIT wasting money on hotels along your journey. Thanks Johnny B for the great stay and conversation, it was appreciated!

2 nights at Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages

My Wife and I (dogs as well) were exceptionally pleased with our stay for the weekend. We felt that the overall location is very conveniently placed, however, perfectly hidden. Their property is beautifully maintained. It is very apparent the amount of foresight and hard work that went into developing their land for travelers to visit. From an outside perspective, you feel a sense of humility and nostalgia influenced by the landscape. Our cabin was pleasantly clean and was well prepared for us. Everything inside the cabin functions, as it should. From the individualism in the decorations of each cabin to the craftsmanship of the stairs and landings, it all displayed significant attention to detail. Our dogs had a blast exploring around our cabin. The free ranging chickens made us feel at home. The owners were helpful and accessible to answer questions we had. Our cabin was cozy and was a nice place to lay our heads at night. We were sad to get up this morning and leave. Bill and Sarah have done a great job and should be proud!

1 night at NW GA Farm Stay

Terrific site - very friendly host. Tidy, quiet, and inviting. We stayed at the water/electric site with a 35’ class A RV. Easy enough to get into, didn’t need to level out. Clean water, 50amp hookup (no 30 amp, so bring an adapter if needed). Grounds were impeccably clean and tidy. Lots of animals, each in their own penned in area. The hosts invited us to go see them, which was fun for us and our child. Very family friendly spot. 10/10, would stay again.

6 nights at Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

This was the perfect spot for my son and I. We were looking for a place close to everything (Cloudland Canyon and Lookout Mountain) and this was perfect. The owner has this place set up perfectly. There is a barn area that has a table and sink/prep area (a lot more technically if you don't bring your own stuff), a rustic cabin with electric and a full open air bathroom with an on demand water heater and normal flush toilet (more posh than we usually go for). Also two fire pit areas, plenty of trees to hang hammocks and if your adventurous on the back of the land is the connector trail to The Moonshine Trails. You could also walk to Lulu Lake if open (which has limited open days which we weren't lucky enough). There is a working horse farm next door as explained and entertaining to watch, but they were no disturbance what-so-ever. For those that are thinking about it, there was also no smell. Saw the owner out there leading some groups, but they were to themselves. The barn cats Lucky and Boo were around each day. My son loved hanging out with them. They were very affectionate. We spent a couple days just relaxing and didn't even leave. So very peaceful! Overall I just loved this place and likely will try to make my way back again.

Loved camping at this beautiful farm. Hosts were so welcoming. Campsite, Adirondack chairs, and fire pit were great. We purchased meat and 2 types of cheeses to enjoy. Were able to pet some of the sheep and goats. Would definitely stay here again.

4 nights at Andy & Ana's Cute Little Farm

Another incredible experience! Last year we visited Andy and Anna’s for a reset and this year more of the same. Last year we wish we had stayed longer and this year we did stay longer yet it still didn’t feel long enough. This is a special place where you can experience nature and all the things you love about camping but without the work. I personally love cooking outside and enjoyed doing that for most every meal. The fire pit is huge, cozy and inviting. The space is so well thought out and even on a rainy day it is bright and airy with plenty to do. I can go on and on but ultimately the care and hospitality that Andy and Anna give to the experience and property is rare which is why visiting their little farm will hopefully be a yearly thing for us (hopefully more)!

Incredibly beautiful campsite and literally everything you would ever need to have a great trip. Insane waterfall that you can hike to directly from the campsite and the host is super grateful to help you at any time or give suggestions for anything you would need. The land is not far from most major stores like walmart or publix which goes perfect with the large open air kitchen in the barn. There was also so much space in the cabin to fit people and a big plot just outside for those that want to pitch tents and hang hammocks. Would love to come back again soon and keep exploring the mountain, the scenery was endless.

This was an absolute gem of a hip camp!! So perfect!! The rustic cabin was so charming and cute! And the hosts were wonderful!! Even had muffins and wine waiting for us!! It was just what we needed to make this weekend extra special! Definitely will Be staying again!!

The cabin is perfect for outdoorsy folk who have people in their crew who may be more indoorsy. It is close to Ellijay and Carters Lake and easy to get to Blue Ridge. Would definitely stay again with my wife and young kids (who loved the bunk beds).

Footehills Farmhouse is a small family owned and operated farm in Northwest, GA, in the little town of Taylorsville. We are stewards of 18 beautiful acres, and nestled between hills covered in hardwoods and Old Taylorsville Church Cemetery. We are very close to Atlanta, GA, Red Top Mountain State Park, The Booth Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the City of Cartersville, GA. Enjoy our local winery and brewery as well. GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season. We also grow figs, herbs garlic and veggies. Please note this is an RV site only no tent camping and no latrine tents allowed. We also have a one dog policy. Thank you for looking at our property.

We have a working farm with sweeping views of Lookout mountain and only 12 minutes from all the comforts of downtown Chattanooga. Our expansive 120-acre property provides campers with the freedom to choose their camping spots anywhere on the farm. Farm animals include horses, cattle, hogs, chickens, goats, bees, stocked ponds, gardens and much more. We have strategically placed signs throughout the property to help you identify potential neighbors. If you desire the company of ducks, consider setting up camp near our picturesque duck pond. For those who prefer the rustic crowing of roosters to a phone alarm, we have four chicken coops dispersed across the farm. Our horses freely roam the front pastures. The cows enjoy grazing on lush grass and taking refreshing dips in the ponds. They also relish watching the sunset from the hill's vantage point, as it offers the best view on the farm. We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show some of the popular locations campers have enjoyed in the past, but it is first come first serve. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. If you are picky with the grass, these are pastures on a farm and we do not cut them. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures. Please respect farm rules and do not camp in a pasture with cattle and do not enter any gated area without speaking to someone on the farm who knows which fields the cattle is in. Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower. Fire rings and chopped wood are ready for you to borrow and return by the outdoor shower area. Our outdoor shower is located by the yurts. If you are interested in a more posh experience, we have yurts and tiny homes for rent. We have a pool that is available to rent privately during your stay. You can use the Swimply app to book your time or you can message us through HipCamp, and we can set that up for you. Sowing Seeds of Peace

It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. I am a teacher, guide, artist, and healer. This land is sacred and magical. It is used to heal, restore, inspire and rejuvenate many locally and internationally.

Although we do not post affiliations, some surrounding homes do. - Because this is a rural area, we recommend turning off any lights that are not directly in use, as bugs are very prevalent and attracted to light, especially at night. **If you are sensitive to insects (indoor and outdoor), this listing may not be the right fit.** - There is community area access, however it is not always maintained. For boating especially, we recommend the nearest Boat Launch at 499 Choestoea Rd, Westminster, SC, where there are docks, a public launch, and a sandy beach. - The inflatable hot tub can reach temperatures up to 104°F. Due to the nature of inflatable hot tubs, it will lose about 5°F per hour that the lid is off; weather conditions and use of the jets may expedite this cooling. Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. There are flower-shaped sponges in the hot tub, which help keep the water clean. **If you prefer to take these out while in the water, they must be placed back in when you exit.
