We strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with. The Haven is 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of oak beach and walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: From the River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, or on the River under The Canopy of trees (site2) small RV and tent site. You also can stay at the Cozy corner (Site 3) by the woods and river in our new addition: Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents as well, Or The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views on the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. The lake is stocked with catfish, bluegill, bass and other fish perfect for fishing. Wildflowers and natural paths are available for walking and scenic photoshoots. The property is near the tollroad. Some guests do not notice the noise others have been more sensitive to it. There is space for each site to have privacy. Each site has their own shower, flushing port-o-john, fire pit, dining area. Feel free to bring your own bike. Riding bicycles on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming guests. You are able to ride them everywhere else on the property, just not the main driveway. Cancelling your reservation on the day of or within 7 days prior to arrival will result in no refund. Glamping at its best. This lot is at the highest point over looking the lake. This travel trailer sleeps 6. Made for children, the park offers a lake for fishing, boat rentals, beach, swimming pools, game room, mini-golf, kids activities, and more. Air conditioning when it is cold, heat when it is hot, stay dry on a rainy day, inside bathroom. Is this really camping? It is more like Glamour Camping; Glamping. Only 45 minutes from Chicago, and 10 minutes to the Indiana Dunes State Park. This is a nice travel trailer that has two bunk beds in the rear, a dinette and couch that converts to sleepers, and a front bedroom with a queen size bed. Sheets/blankets are supplied, clean towels for up to four people are provided. There is a fire pit, charcoal grill (you have to supply your own charcoal) and gazebo that you can use. Although you are on the lake, you do not have direct access to the lake. Parking is located on the grassy area across the road from the lot. The campground is between the highway and train, so you will hear both day and night with a lot of golf cart traffic. Guest must follow all campground rules, no refunds will be issued. You will have access to all the amenities of the park including use of the pools, beach, and park. Cost of the miniature golf course is not included. There is a restaurant at the park that serves fast food and deserts.

Old family farm. Quiet river side cabin. Deer, otter, turkey all frequently visit the area. Sit on the deck, build a fire, or just wet a line. The sounds of nature will be your night time lullaby. Far enough away but easy to get to. Come relax and spend some time at camp David. If you don't have fire wood we will provide you with some at $25 a 75 cb ft. Easy access from the road and not far from town. Birds, otter, deer, and turkey will be around to checkout their new neighbors. It’s generator ready if you want lights or to charge your phone. Enjoy the outdoors and the peace and quiet. Sorry no beds. A blow up mattress is there to use if you like.
