We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village. Please note: We do allow pets in some of our sites for $10 per night. If you plan to bring a pet, please add the pet fee which is listed under "Extras" during the booking process.

It is important to note that there is no poison oak or poison ivy around the area. It is a wonderful place to really explore. Just 15.4 miles east of Ashland on highway 66 then 9 miles on a slow dirt road. The drive is absolutely part of the experience, slow down and enjoy the views. As you drive up hwy 66 the views of the valley below are absolutely incredible, then you come to the dirt road. This is a very slow drive due to the condition of the road, it is part of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and poorly maintained. **Important** The last section of road to get to this pristine and secluded forest location is a 9 mile dirt road with bumps, rocks, and a many washouts that bring you to a near stand still. 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended. Low clearance cars not recommended.

We want to share so come enjoy. Not one of our campsites are in view or proximity to the others. Very private and lots of solitude. We (as hosts) can be as present or invisible as you like. Access to miles of trails and roads on BLM/Forest Service land for hiking, ATV's, motorcycles and off-roading. Please know to explore responsibly and at your own risk to preserve the land and keep yourself safe. You are also welcome to explore the property with the exception of one space on the upper portion where the owners reside. This area will be clearly marked. Views are beyond and nothing man made that is not on the property is visible from the property with the exception of one little red light on a US Cellular tower across the valley. We currently do not provide electricity at the sites but it is in the works. We have both available a short walk from the camp site in a common area. The power is limited to charging tech, some laptop time and the like, It wont run a hairdryer, etc. The WiFi is common use and has the ability to download and make WiFi calls. No guarantee of its suitability for any particular purpose, it will depend on usage in the moment. There is little to no reception up here so please plan ahead. US cellular has property and valley wide reception but that is the only one. Verizon can send texts and messages but is painfully slow or non-existent on internet. Also has voice calls occasionally but don't count on it. All the other cell services we do not know about. If you would like to spend a week or more here and would like a better power/internet solution then let us know. We can set it up for specific needs. Good if you wish to be in an amazing space to work remote or write. We are adding decks for lounging and views, a solar and wood heated community Jacuzzi for our guests and an outdoor shower tub as we speak and will add pictures as the projects are completed. Is a very good two lane rd. Some steep grades but qaulity pavement. Internet available for all sites at a centralish location. There are some small trout in the stream but only throwback size so far. At night, you may have the opportunity to join us for star viewing parties under our dark, expansive sky—an experience you won't forget. While our site offers access to seclusion, it's not entirely secluded on its own. Nestled at the bottom of a pasture in a farming area, it's within sight of the owner and a neighbor. However, rural living offers a sense of privacy, allowing you to relax and be yourself amidst nature. Keep in mind that you may encounter bugs, coyotes, deer, and some nearby farming activity during your stay. Our communal camping area features level ground, fire pit, potable water spigot, camp toilet, and a picnic table. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be leashed or kenneled on the property—feel free to let them off-leash on the adjacent public lands. Owners are available to provide information and maps for hiking and outdoor recreation activities. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Shasta from your campsite, with seasonally flooded fields adding to the picturesque scenery. You're also welcome to explore the hills nearby, offering even more breathtaking vistas to discover.

Overview

A short drive from Crater Lake National Park, Klamath Falls, Oregon makes for a great base for RV campers exploring both Crater Lake and the surrounding Umpqua National Forest, as well as Lava Beds National Monument, just over the border in California. While many visitors use Klamath Falls as a base for visiting Southern Oregon and Northern California attractions, the city is a destination unto itself, offering great hiking and boating, plus easy access to the whitewater rapids of the Klamath River.
