The woodfire stove in the yurt was to die for - the skylight view was amazing, especially during a bout of snow. The land was quiet, beautiful, and close enough to drive to anything you needed quickly. The sounds of nature existing around you pour through the yurt, run through it like water through a stream, pulling you closer to it and dissolving the separation of yourself from it. While easy to use your phone, perhaps consider a time to put it down and be with yourself, your loved one(s), and to step back from the onslaught of technology and back to a time of just existing - of talking truly, of writing, of reading, of pondering, of meditating, of experiencing the world the way it was meant to be - with your true senses, not with distractions of the modern world, or the onslaught of awful happenings in the world.

Really enjoyed our weekend, listening to the sounds of the waterfall while soaking in the mineral tub!! Everything was exactly as we hope for!!! Sam was an excellent host!! It got pretty cold but the tent stayed nice and warm. Oohhh the stars we amazing twinkling through out the trees. Hope to come back again when it’s a little warmer and try out one of the other sites on this beautiful property!!

The site was great! There a are few stores on the property, but you still feel secluded. The waterfall was all frozen over for our trip and looked amazing. You could still hear the water flowing under the ice and it created some nice background noise. The outhouses were very clean and only 50 or so feet away. Some of the pics on Hipcamp show the old bell tent with a wood stove, but that's been updated with a cabin tent and propane heater, which kept things plenty warm. There's also a 2 burner propane cooking stove. All in all an excellent experience.

Loved it! Sam was very attentive when we arrived and answered all my questions. We stayed during a snow storm and we were very warm with the heating inside the RV. All the basics you need are there like cups, plates, paper towels, even a TV with Netflix. It was great. We’ll be back!

My husband and I decided to start the new year by escaping the hustle and bustle of city life, and our glamping experience was absolutely perfect. The setting was serene and beautiful—exactly what we needed to unwind and reconnect. We fell asleep each night to the soothing sound of a nearby waterfall, which was so calming and peaceful. We had a short but pleasant encounter with our host, Sam, who seemed like a very chill and laid-back person. He was communicative and responsive whenever we reached out, ensuring we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The tent itself was cozy and comfortable, equipped with a propane heater that kept us warm despite the chilly air outside. We spent our evenings sitting by the fire, enjoying each other's company and stargazing under the clear night sky—an unforgettable experience. Everything about the trip was wonderful: the peaceful surroundings, the gorgeous nature, and the chance to simply relax. It was the perfect start to the new year, and we can’t wait to return for another peaceful escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway in nature with just the right touch of comfort!

We had a wonderful and restful time staying at Sam's A-frame. Sam was friendly and easily available for any questions but gave us complete privacy. The wood fired hot tub was great and the dogs loved exploring the property. The water level in the stream was low but Sam ran the generator when we were off site so that we were fully charged.

Relax in front of the fire pit and grill that overlooks the falls. You will have plenty of privacy, surrounded by woods, access to lush forest, and modern amenities such as: WiFiprovided by Starlink, queen bed, propane tent heater to keep you warm in the cooler months, Brooklinen sheets. The property allows lots of beauty, peace, and serenity. Feel free to roam the 12 acres of woods, fields, waterfalls, and brooks. There are 3 historic waterfalls on the property. Within our small town, you can find all your essential needs met at the stores close by, as well as some great restaurants. Area surrounding the site as well as the areas not surrounding the main house, are accessible with caution. Access to the brook is at your own risk. Brook subject to flooding. Please note location of water rescue equipment at the site. Don’t forget the ice for the Yeti cooler!

The house is at the end of a shale road on a blueberry orchard. Guests are invited to pick all the fruit they like. The hillside’s high elevation provides an oasis of cooler temperatures during every summer heat wave. The panoramic view of the Catskills from the front porch has to be seen to be appreciated. across the property, smack in the middle of the blueberry bushes, is the latest addition to our eco-getaway: a YURT. It’s a slightly larger tiny house, albeit a round one with walls of cloth instead of wood. Like the cabin, the YURT has a full kitchen, hot shower, indoor toilet, woodstove, etc. If glamping is your thing, come and spend a night or two under the stars while sleeping indoors. while the setting is delightfully off the beaten path, it’s also a short drive to the cafés, breweries, and eateries in the charming hamlet of Livingston Manor. World class hiking, swimming, camping, and fishing is even closer. (Camping and hiking gear provided.) perhaps most importantly, our place offers more than a getaway. Guests learn how hygienic a composting toilet is, how easily a spring provides water for one’s home, the joys of heating with wood, etc. A few days on the blueberry patch is both a rewarding glimpse of the sustainable life and an invaluable education in how comfortable a small house can be. Your stay in the treehouse is off–grid, thoroughly insulated and heated by a wood-burning stove, also we do supply you with a Jackery 1000 lithium battery generator to power the shower, or to charge your phone or laptop. We also use a composting toilet for the cleanest and most environmentally sensitive relationship to the surroundings. You will learn firsthand what off–grid glamping is like…and that includes a hot-water shower.
