Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's most treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Welcome to the Campsites at CoHo: Conway Hostel!
Camping here at the hostel is a great option for those who are looking for the economic price point and rugged nature of camping, while still having the amenities of modern living.
"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property. Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).
Amenities:
For Sites 1-4, the hostel is yours to access. Use the back porch and side entrances (Access code will be given to you during check-in). Inside you’ll find… Full community kitchen, bathrooms/hot showers, dining area, and lounge area.
For Primitive Sites, there is a shared picnic table, fire pit, and porta-john available
Dorm style bathroom facilities on the second floor have two toilets and shower stalls each.
Basic breakfast items are included with stay as well (coffee, tea, yogurt, granola bars, cereal, and oatmeal)

Magical Mountain River retreat

Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, any food not in use, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking.

A HIKERS PARADISE! This is the perfect spot to camp if you're looking to hike Mount Washington or explore the many trails close to the property. PLEASE make sure you come prepared with the proper camping gear! You MUST bring a tent or RV for camping. Our campground is suitable for nature lovers or outdoor enthusiasts. We take incredible care of our land - it is not suitable for parties!

Welcome to Horseshoe Bend! Very Private tent sites on the Bearcamp River! Come take your shoes off, relax and enjoy a soak! Kayak from here all the way to Lake Ossipee which is about 3 hours.
Although the fire ban is on for this property you can have a small wood fire on the beach only on SITE 3.
If its DRY enough high clearance 4x4 vehicles may be permitted to drive to the sites. This is a case by case weather depending basis so message me with your vehicle info and keep an eye on the weather.

PLEASE READ:
Propane Firepits and easy pull wagons will be provided for each site. You just need to bring a BBQ propane tank to hook up to the firepit. One full tank usually 4-5 nights. The store a couple miles away sells and exchanges them. Wood fires are only allowed at SITE 3 on the beach. You will park by the road, grab a cart (if needed) in the red shed and walk through the field (mowed walkway) to your specific site. When leaving please be respectful for the next campers. Make sure the site is clean, Firepit cover put back on and all garbage taken out with you. Please put carts back in the shed for the next hipcampers to use. Thanks!
Sorry no fireworks allowed on any of these sites. If you're celebrating the 4th there are plenty of fireworks shows in the area!

To get to your reserved site just walk to the left around the red shed and follow the mowed path through the field until it splits into three paths. Site one is to the left. Site 2 the middle path. Site 3 is the right path. There are a couple led lights on the path of each to help at night but you should bring a flash light. All 3 sites have solar string lights
Although we've never seen on there are bears in the area.

Medium the art studio has many supplies and i offer pottery classes to a group or individuals.
Roam around the Sacred Geometry Gardens, all connected by pollinator fields of flowers and mowed walking paths.
There are veggies for sale from the hoophouse fresh eggs and medicinal herbs salves and teas.
Sauna is beautiful cedar shaped like a bee hive. hu -um is a beautiful new rock sauna stove. New benches and 1 way glass door.
Massages vary from hot stone to medical scar removeal. CBD oils.. Herbs.. Maple salt scrub....you know!
The variety of camping options are sure to suit your fancy from swinging in a hammock, to tenting around huge pines. There are open meadows of wild flowers to being tucked into a cozy alcove of ferns next to the woods.
Some sites can fit up to 3 tents for a group.
Most sites have a fire pit lots of wood branches to burn and campwood is also available.
Some sites have tables and benches. Some have electric.
The cabin and vintage camper are also available.
Tiny house also fully equipted for your arrival.
Once here at Back Roads Farm your adventure begins. If your up for music and a night out the Den Hardware store offers music and craft beer. There are resturants and venues within 20 miles. The Village store 2 miles away. Or sink in and lite a fire.
Spend the day riding your bike or the Vt Rail Trail , or explore all the walking paths throughout Cabot. Enjoy the view of the Green Mt range to them west... Amazing Camels hump and Mt Mansfield views. To the East the White Mountains.
There are many events planned here this summer from the Cabot Arts Festival, and 4th of July parade, Manifestus music fest as well as Ride the Ridges and other pop up events .
The sauna is an extra charge but oh so worth it. Pottery classe,, yoga space and fresh greens from the greenhouse await. To top off the weekend enjoy a hot stone massage!
(Urban Farm Road) Urban Rd, is named after the original owner of this farm and surrounding land.
The original barn burned, although they saved the milk house where my art gallery currently is . The barn has been rebuilt, which is a meeting place. And pottery studio. We also have 100 ft hoop house.
After a long day of canoeing Joe's Pond, hiking to the top of Mt Mansfield, or riding the ridges around Cabot you will be glad to arrive and relax. You will find a peaceful, private camp sites. Each with a fire pit, flat ground for your tent or trees to hang your hammock .
There are also sites for a RV or "glamping."
A few sites are large enough to accommodate 3 tents for a group gathering.
I am now offering a shower and flush toilet.
Unique offerings include a health component from meditation classes to sauna and masssage.The pottery studio is available for classes or private lessons including Raku firings. Singing Bowls and tunning forks are available on massage or outside. Movement classes are also available in the barn, in the fields or in the Flower of Life meditation garden and labyrinth.
The outside garden and 100 ft hoop house is filled with organic vegetables and edible flowers for your enjoyment. The Herb Barn is for drying flowers and creating tinctures and ointments. The Art Gallery in the old milk house is filled with pottery and art work.
Bring your easel and paint brushes, learn a new craft, or relax in the sauna. Bike trails are being established throughout Cabot, right out the front door. There are ponds for swimming within a few miles., There are many options for water sports minutes away at Joe's Pond, and many others. The rail trails are less than 10 minutes. Organic beef, raw milk and fresh eggs are around the corner at Molly Brook Farm. Maple Sugar at Goodrich's and fresh blueberries and veggies at Blossoms and Berries, as well as Burtt's Apples and of course Cabot cheese
The land is diverse with large open meadows to fields to quiet pine forest.
As you walk the tree line you will find old farm implements, old bottles and even an old Ford coop. I would love to restore and use them on the farm.
The land is on the crest of the ridge looking East to Danville and the White Mts, and a few feet to the West the entire Green Mts splay before you. The water tastes wonderful, and bubbles up here and there on the property.
Our neighbors who also offer camping have sheep, to berries... I offer the healing arts, massage, scar release, the sauna, and other art learning experiences.

You will be cool and comfortable, and If you enjoy glamping this beautiful cabin is the place for you! Overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river. The cabin is ready for you to come and relax!
This cabin sleeps two people and the property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. Reasonable requests for other times always considered.
The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and A/C. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! Enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine in the mornings. Bottled water is included as well.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.
So with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first! Listen to the birds and relax! And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle!

Franconia Forest - 5 Private Acres

Live like a local less than 12 minutes from Franconia Notch.
Our site is just up the road from some of the most famous hikes, overlooks, swimming holes, formations, and ski resorts in New England—and 25 minutes from the Kancamagus Highway, connecting the eastern and western White Mountains and counted among the most scenic drives in America.
You will never run out of things to do in any season or weather. This site is less than 15 minutes from Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake Beach, Profile Lake, Mt. Lafayette, and less than 25 minutes from Flume Gorge, Clark's Trading Post, the seasonal Ice Castles, downtown Lincoln, the Hobo Railroad,
North Woodstock, Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington, the Cog Railway, and so much more.
Our 5-acre forest features just a single private campsite, with a huge tenting platform, granite fire pit, and a rocky creek passing right by the site. From the two-car parking area, a 200-ft. trail winds through the woods, over a wooden stream crossing, and ends at the site itself set far back from the road.
Modern conveniences are also close by. It's 5 minutes to the nearest grocery / convenience store, 5 minutes to Rek-Lis Brewing, 4 minutes to Super Secret Ice Cream (James Beard Award nominee), 13 minutes to Polly's Pancake Parlor (our favorite) and countless other restaurants. 17 minutes to the nearest medical facility.
Other Notes and Important Things:
- Please pack out all trash. Cleaners are in high demand in this region and we will have to charge a steep retroactive cleaning fee if any trash is left at the site.
- Likewise please let us know ASAP if trash is present when you arrive.
- The tenting platform is 12 ft. wide on its narrowest edge. It's flat and dry, but there are no anchor points for stakes or lines. Freestanding tents are best, or you may want to pack extra-long guy lines.
- Don't forget the bug spray, especially in Summer! That goes for all campsites in the White Mountains, especially creekside ones like ours.
- A portable toilet with privacy tent is available at the back of the site. Please use the provided trash bags as liners and pack them out if used. Odor-absorbing pine shavings are provided.
- Please observe quiet hours between 9PM and 9AM everyday.
- Cell coverage is surprisingly strong here. You should have direct 4G
LTE access on Verizon and AT&T, and 4G extended coverage on T-Mobile / Sprint.
- You may want to pack a wood splitting axe. Feel free to burn any dead, fallen, or cut wood on the premises, but all firewood must be less than 5 inches in diameter.

Tips for snagging a campsite
- All national forest campground reservations must be made at least seven days in advance. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance online or by phone.
- Reservations are often required for sites with hookups, especially on summer weekends.
- Advance reservations are not accepted at all White Mountain National Forest campgrounds. Many campgrounds have a selection of sites available only on a first-come, first-served basis.
When to go
New Hampshire's White Mountains are a year-round destination for both summer and winter sports. July and August are the most popular months for camping, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, and kayaking. Fall is the busiest month for sightseers looking to enjoy the changing colors. Fall colors are best from the end of September through early October. Some White Mountain National Forest campgrounds are open year-round, including the Hancock Campground. These campgrounds are plowed in winter but do not have any of the services found in summer.
Know before you go
- A recreation pass is required to park at trailheads, recreation areas, and day-use areas within White Mountain National Forest. Daily and annual passes are available at Forest Service visitor centers and local businesses in Campton and North Conway.
- The White Mountains are known for unpredictable and occasionally poor weather. Come prepared with rain gear if you plan on hiking and extra layers for sleeping.
- White Mountain National Forest is bear country. Never leave food unattended and practice safe food storage techniques.
- Backcountry huts are scattered throughout the White Mountains and offer family-friendly bunk-style accommodations for hikers. Reservations are strongly recommended.
