Learn more about this land: I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.

Renegade Acres is a mixture of mostly open fields divided by woods with a creek winding through the property and another at the back of the grounds. Some sites have direct access to the water, while some require a brief walk. The larger creek on the back has some nice fishing holes while the smaller creek is good for wading and cooling off. The primitive camp sites range from single tent to multiple tents allowing for either some quiet time to yourself, or a group gathering. There is also the option of camping in the fields or set back into the trees a bit. All sites have a fire pit. Wood can be purchased on your way in or at the managers office on site. You are welcome to grab kindling from the wooded areas, but we respectfully request that no live trees be cut or damaged. We welcome dogs and kids, but ask that dogs be leashed and that kids are respectful of the other guests and the land. All sites except for the RV slots are primitive, meaning there is no water, electric, or bathroom facilities. Composting toilets (coming soon) will be spaced throughout the grounds. If for some reason you require additional water, use of electric, or Wi-Fi, you can contact the office for assistance. The manager lives on-site and is there most evenings and weekends. The RV sites have electric and water hook up but no sewer. Tents are not permitted on the RV sites, but if required, may be set up in the field near the RV site.

We are conveniently located close to East Ridge, Ringgold, and Fort Oglethorpe, with downtown Chattanooga only 25 minutes away. NOTE: Driveway access is paved and curving on an incline. It is a little steeper near the end as pictured. It’s 12 feet wide and a little wider around the curves for extra room. We have pulled trailers and a 20 foot uhaul up through there with no issue. NOTE: Our two dogs are free range when they are let out of the main house. This is why we aren’t pet friendly for bookings. They are quiet and harmless, but if you are averse to animals around be aware.

The Farm on Federal is a beautiful 11 acre property in the heart of Ocoee, Tennessee! Park your RV, camper, camper van or even tent camp on our beautiful forested farm. You will have access to many different kinds of sites on our property. We offer full hookup RV sites as well as camper van and car camping sites and even rustic tent campsites! We raise rotationally-grazed, beyond-organic, forest-fed and pasture raised chicken eggs, meat chickens, pork and lamb. Peak into our small-scale farming operation! You will be in the middle of Ocoee - close to all kinds of water adventures on the Ocoee or Hiwassee River and Parksville Lake. We do offer kayak and tube rentals as well as a shuttle service to the river! There is also lots of land adventures like hiking, mountain biking and much more in the Cherokee National Forest. Also located only 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland and 45 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. We offer a sewer dumping station for a small fee, fast Wifi, fire wood, fresh farm products, as well as from scratch sourdough products/baked goods/other tasty treats and much more! Greeter Falls Campground is located less than a half mile from the Greeter Falls Trailhead, adjacent to the 16,000 acre Savage Gulf State Park offering over 50 miles of well-marked trails for every skill level. The .08 mile Greeter Falls Trail loop connects you to three awe inspiring waterfalls as well as the nearby Blue Hole swimming area. We offer many recreational options to help you enjoy the area including Primitive Tent spots, furnished Yurts (Bell Tents) and RV/Travel Trailer sites (each with electrical and water hook-ups). Unlike many RV camps where sites are over-packed into a cramped trailer park setting, all our sites are ensconced within sparsely inhabited raw timberland; with less than 3 sites per acre versus an average of 10-15 nationally.
