Me and my family really enjoyed our stay here in a tent, the only thing that we felt could be improved is more signs, it was very difficult for us to find it, other than that we really enjoyed our stay it was the most beautiful view, we had a chance to go walk through all the campsites and we loved every one of them I would recommend campsite 1, 3, and 5 out of all of them. He also provided a lot of wood which helped a lot! We also brought our 2 dogs and they had a blast! 10/10 would recommend and will be returning.😁

This land was absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful time hanging around camp and enjoying the sounds of the farm. It was not far from port Townsend. It was wonderful! Absolutely recommend. The highlight of the land was saying hi to Uno, Dos, Tres, and Cuatro, the family of goats living there.

Weekend Trip to Private Beach, 15 Acres, Vashon

My fiancé at the time and I were looking for a venue for a quaint wedding. While simultaneously searching for camping spots for this summer on Hipcamp, I stumbled upon this gorgeous property. It is absolutely breathtaking! Wonderful views of Mt Rainier and the Puget Sound. Also, the long tree-lined driveway made for some beautiful photographs. Lisa was a fantastic host! We made a surprise visit before we booked the property and Lisa was kind enough to accommodate us and gave us a tour of the property. She was also very communicative throughout the process. We were married on our 18 year anniversary in front of immediate family and our three fur babies and it was absolutely perfect (minus the wind). But it didn’t rain and that was a win! Unfortunately the mountain wasn’t out on that particular day but that’s what we get for getting married in March! It was out on the day we visited prior and let me tell you, it’s absolutely stunning! If you’re looking for a private place to camp or have a wedding, I highly recommend this incredible property! There aren’t any hookups (power, water, sewer) so you will have to come prepared for that. But if you’re set up for dry camping, you’ll be fine. We already have a camping trip booked there for June and can’t wait to go back! Thank you Lisa for helping make our special day even more memorable!

A peaceful camping spot. Quiet and well-kept. I woke to see a horse looking over at me from the paddock next door. Make sure to say hi to the goats. Angie was an excellent host.

Great spot with a beautiful view. It is essentially on a shared driveway in front of homes, so there isn't a ton of privacy (if your rig has a lot of windows), but you are on the bluff overlooking the beautiful ocean. And the island is so cute. Make sure you stop in Edison on the way to get a loaf of bread! Seriously the cutest town. Highly recommend!

Great spot! Very quiet and level, directions to get there were easy to follow. Only “complaint” was the rooster at 2am, but that was honestly a selling point for us! We loved the farm animals, grateful for the bathroom, and loved the location. Don’t miss stopping in Coupeville, one of the sweetest towns we’ve ever been to.

Welcome to our peaceful property with beautiful views in every direction! Surrounded by blueberry fields, we purchased this property to enjoy camping with our three kids, extended family, and friends away from crowded campgrounds . Offering the use of it to others through Hipcamp is a fun way to share with others when not in use by us. We hope others will find the same joy we do. Property access is directly off the road with any vehicle. We have had large motor homes on the property without any trouble. Traffic is minimal with mostly other people off to enjoy their recreational land. The nearest neighbors are about 500' away across the blueberry fields. You may occasionally hear our neighbors enjoying their property as well but the noises sound distant and haven't been a problem for us. Because we allow dispersed camping there may be other people on the property with you. Please select our group camping option If you are interested in having the entire property for yourselves or for an event such as a family reunion or large friend group camping trip. The property is about one mile from the cascade bicycle trail which will take you to Sedro-Woolley in eleven miles or East to Birdsview Brewery in seven miles. If you explore even further East you'll find Act One Ice Cream Parlor adjacent to The Concrete Theater in Concrete. Check their website for hours and showings. A new local spot, Lyman Tavern, might also be a fun place to grab a bite to eat. Kids are allowed during certain hours. Cozy up next to a campfire at our fire pit constructed last season. It is located in the center of the property. Posts with solar lights are also around the fire pit. The lights are operated by remote so lights can be turned off to star gaze. You are welcome to burn any wood already down. Outdoor opportunities (hiking, biking, rafting) are in abundance from about any direction. To the East you'll find the North Cascade National Park, Baker Lake within the Mt. Baker National Forest, and Ross Lake National Recreation Area. Bicyclists will enjoy the close proximity to the Cascade Trail. Places to explore further from camp could be Deception Pass, Padilla Bay or the quaint towns of LaConner and Anacortes. We do not live on site but could potentially be there upon your arrival setting up any "extras" you've requested or finishing property maintenance. We do have friends nearby who alert us to anything that doesn't look right. ***As this is a working agricultural area we want to be transparent that farm activities such a spraying and harvesting of the blueberries may occur along property boundaries. More than likely this will not happen during your stay but be prepared to head to town for ice cream or to the Birdsview Brewery while things settle down around camp. Please let us know if you have any questions. This has not been a problem for us yet personally.

Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. One campsite is a beach on the North Fork Stilly, it is shaded most of the time, the sun lovers can paddle with their kayak or wade across to sunbath on an island across the river. tent campers can locate their car or truck on dike and move their supplies on to camping area.. trucks with campers can set up right on dike over looking the stilly. Rigs can set up in the field by the dike!! the outhouse is back for the season!!! The second campsite is on 4 acres you will have to yourself by a creek; Rhodes River Ranch Restaurant is walking distance away to go enjoy dinner; the Whitehorse trail for biking or walking is only a mile away; Enjoy the view of Whitehorse and three fingers mountain. Lake Cavanaugh is nearby, and regional activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking, , paddling, wind sports, and off-roading. Our guests love staying with us: "Our stay at River Side was wonderful! The campsite is very large, with a picnic table and great little beach area. If you're looking for a nice and easy get-away from the city, especially for larger groups, this is the perfect place! Rhonda is very communicative and a great host. The owners have a small garden and some fruit trees that are for owner's use only but you are happy to walk around and tour the garden. Approximately 5 acres of the property is mowed for recreational use. There is a dock for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking or boating. The lake is open to boats but no jet skis are allowed. Visit Vashon Island and relax on this private estate property. Camp near the bluff, overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of secluded beach. You can camp in the field by the bluff, or in the forest on either side of the driveway. The island boasts great coffee hangouts, galleries, wineries, restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant), Snapdragon and others. Minglement, the Burton Coffee Stand, and Cafe Olio Vino have great coffee. Thriftway is a great grocery store. The Burton Store is worth a visit if you are coming from the Tacoma/Pt. Defiance ferry as you will pass it on your way to the property. There a galleries, shops and restaurants in the town of Vashon and also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest. Bikes, E-bikes, paddle boards and kayaks can be rented from Vashon Adventures and Vashon Bikes.They also rent tents and some camping equipment. Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Generally, fires are allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.) Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful! Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate. If for some reason hipcamp doesn't automatically add in this charge, so we will request it separately. It must be paid in full prior to arrival. There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am. There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed. DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. Please enjoy our beach as much as we have for the past 14 years...it’s gorgeous from sunrise to sunset. Learn more about this land: You get it all...the beach and the mountains when you stay here. Nestled at the base of the Olympic Mountains along the shore of the Hood Canal. It’s amazing! If you’re lucky Mt. Rainier will give you a show of amazing color at sunset and at dawn... Each camp site is basic with their own fire pit and pic-nic table. Site 1 is perfect for a tent or even a camper van. Site 2 is set up for a truck camper, camper van, Sprinter van or tents. Both have a water view. Power outlet is located by site 2. Both the sites are exposed to mid-day sunshine so a pop-up helps eliminate direct sunshine. The restroom area has solar lights you can flip on at night. The sites are pretty level gravel sites that are facing the Hood Canal. You can hear the waves and the eagles right from your tent- and highway 101 since we are located parallel to it. It can be pretty noisy. You may want to pack earplugs. Take the ramp down to the beach and enjoy 350’ feet of private beach. Walk the beach, kayak, sun bath or just swim. Check the tide so you know when the best times are to swim and stroll. If you want to book our property for a large group message me. We can talk and figure out if our property is ideal for your group. So much to do- mountain hikes, local nurseries to explore, check out the local marina, local water falls, National Parks, bike the area, trek and numerous other local activities. Go out and explore Brinnon, Port Townsend, Hoodsport and Sequim. We also stay on site and have our own covered RV. You may see us or you may not. Come stay at our campsites. We are located right next to Seal Rock USFS Park and directly off of HWY 101.....you do hear highway noise.

It is dedicated to moving our community towards a more resilient future, away from fossil fuels and using natural and organic farming methods. Sequoia has lived here for 34 years gardening farming and tending the land using organic and permaculture methods. Her latest venture is raising a small flock of Gotland sheep.Learn more about this land: I have a campsite in the woods close to my pond At the pond you may see ducks, swallows, kingfishers, herons and many other visitors. I even had some otters the other day. It's very quiet and peaceful here. There is a row boat available for rowing around. Although the pond isn't as full in the summer as in the winter, you can still dive off the bank on the deep side. Depending on the season, some fruits and vegetables will be available for purchase. Small campfires are allowed as long as there isn't a burn ban on which is common in the late summer months. I will have some fire wood available for sale. You may visit the sheep through the fence but are not allowed to go through any gates. I will be happy to give a short visit for petting and learning about the sheep for a fee of $10 if I am able to arrange a time for that. This year I have 8 adorable lambs. The beach is at the end of the road. Guemes Island has lots of beachcombing. Guemes "mountain" has nice hiking trail with a dramatic view from the top when the weather is clear. The Guemes ferry leaves from 6th St and I st. in Anacortes and ruins frequently during the day. The schedule and fares can be found on the Skagit county website.
