1 night at Shadow Mountain Campground

Cute, great view of the surrounding area. You definitely hear the sound of cars driving by. The bathrooms were very nice and clean and heated. I think the post is a little misleading saying max 4 people, since there was only two cots. I only bring it up since I was scouting the place for possibly bringing my kids with me on the next time but they would probably not be the most comfortable sharing a cot. It seems like a great spot for couples or solo travelers like myself. A lot of great hikes nearby and sol duc hot springs.

Quite easy to find, the tent sites are quite peaceful. The sound of the river flowing through the trees is extremely relaxing. 100% recommend the eggs. They're huge and delicious. Definitely a place I'd return to!

This was a fun and cozy location. I doubt it would really comfortably sleep more than six. We had five people and had plenty of room. It’s a unique and fun property close to Olympic National Park. We would return for longer once the shower is up and running. (Looks like it’s in progress!) We got a little lost arriving which was completely our fault, and Nick was quick to respond and help us out.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Shadow Mountain Campground. The owners of this campground were super helpful and accommodating, fixing the lights in the pitch black and bringing us a heater, firewood, and towels when the rain had soaked the tent carpet. Would absolutely recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Lookout

Mid Mountain is the lowest of the campsites on the hill and has great views of Clear Lake. I enjoyed watching spring storms move through the area as part of my March visit. The site is flat with a lovely deck, and a large fire pit. I will definitely be returning! Each of the sites are laid out to allow privacy from each other, and I’m sure the site will continue to impress as the tree cover grows up around them. The road to reach the sites is dirt and steep - but well packed and maintained. If you have a larger vehicle or trailer you’ll need to use the corners of the switchbacks to turn around. I’d plan to arrive before dark on your first visit. Be prepared for a hike uphill if you are planning to use the port-a-potty provided. It was clean and well maintained, with a built in cardio plan to get there. :)

A great spot located well with lots to do in the area! The check in process was very easy and all employees I interacted with were super helpful and kind. Campsites were clean, and facilities on site/campsites were great for the price. Having the general store there is also very convenient, they had a great selection and fair pricing for the area.

2 nights at Crescent Beach & RV

We camped there in March (early season). The staff was really great and friendly! I didn't bring a gas-grill so I asked them for a fire pit grilling grate to cook steaks ... they provided one quickly. The beach is huge, amazing and relaxing, but there were also people not relaxing and surfing the waves instead. The campsites are a little tight/cozy, but the views and time spent on the walking the beach or hiking the nearby trails are worth it.

We had a jeep with a pop-up tent on top and it was perfect for the campsite. Bathrooms were really clean and showers got warm. General store had everything you’d need. Lights and campsite were super cute.

Nichelle was excellent at communicating with us before and during our stay. We parked our teardrop camper at spot #4 and enjoyed the spectacular views. We were fortunate to be the only campers here this weekend. It was quiet and lovely.

This was our second stay, we love this place! So peaceful and beautiful, Andrea is an amazing host,.The sauna is incredible, we had such a lovely family getaway with campfire and tent spot under the trees. It's a special spot for sure. We will be back :)

The road noise wasn't a bother, cute campsite, bathrooms are brand new and very nice. $2 for both washer and dryer, and check your machine before using it. No change machine, so bring your quarters from town. We were staying as we were passing through from Forks to Port Angeles, so we didn't get to do much in Lake Crescent/Sol Duc/Snug Cove, but it was in a good place for it!

Our stay started out with a mishap, but Staci went above and beyond to remedy the situation ASAP. I was beyond impressed at her commitment to making our stay a good one. The camp site was really nice, 20 minutes outside of downtown Port Angeles and just outside of Olympic National Park. The bathroom was absolutely stellar; my daughter couldn't stop raving about. She said it was "way better than her school bathroom." I'm hoping we can return to this lovely spot.

Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. We had a guy out here who almost killed his kids multiple times underestimating the current. Watch out!!Kinda going for the peaceful, listen to the river and birds, vibe. We are a 20 acre tree farm in the making on beautiful Whidbey Island. The property is rough graded with lots of areas to explore. No water. Close to town for supplies but quiet and crazy stars at night. We have cleared two of the cedar groves on the south side, and they are perfect campsites. The sites are 75'-100' apart, more private than a state park, but close enough that a bigger group would feel close. Portable Toilet is on site 100' from the Big Cedar site. May through October Cedar Hallow- Our original campsite, sports a hammock, a picnic table, a fire pit, a good area for 2 tents, probably 6 people. The site has huge cedar trees all around so it's filtered sunlight most of the day, & warm in the summer! Big Cedar- Our bigger site. Equipped with a fire pit, a picnic table, hammock, and space for 3-4 tents, probably 12 people comfortably. There is a dirt road that circles the property, it's great for walks and animal viewing but can get muddy in the rain so be prepared. Parking is a gravel lot directly across the little dirt road from the sites. Unload at the site then move to parking as to not block the road. Trucks with campers can pull tight to a site but don't pull into a site please, obey standard fallen tree limb boundaries. The great wide open forest to the south allows for nice nature calls bathroom walks, go deep. Thanks

Retreat to relax at Chuckanut Hills Farm and Campground, a 20-acre energy-regenerative, off-grid family farm nestled at the foot of Anderson Mountain and surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. 30 minutes south of Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains, the only finger of the Cascade Mountain Range that reaches all the way to the Salish Sea. This wooded forest is part of the Puget Lowland Forest Eco-Region. These hills were the native home of the Saquantch people, a Salish coast tribe that fished and hunted the mountains surrounding Lake Whatcom. They lived in long lodge homes and were later pushed out by the invading Lummi Tribe. The Lummi Tribe was later pushed out by Western logging companies, and the entire mountainous region was heavily logged for a number of years. Where our farm now rests was once the second of many logging camps built by Ed English, and he cut our gravel farm road in 1900; a railroad ran through the lower part of our property, taking logs from Lake Whatcom down to the little boom town of Seattle. Our intention while being caretakers of this ancestral land is to restore native plants, raise heirloom produce and heritage animals, and provide a restful nature paradise for people looking to spend time in the outdoors.
