This is a peaceful campsite in the middle of North Americas largest Joshua Tree forest. There are saguaro cactus covered mountains nearby and an abundance of desert wildlife all around. Mountain views in every direction. Come explore this huge property and immerse yourself in nature. This campsite is nestled in the middle of the worlds largest Joshua Tree forest with 50 mile views down the valley to California. Mountains in every direction and sandy open space to set up your tent, trailer or whatever you're rolling with.
The site is on 40 acres and is extremely private. There is 1 acre cleared out for camping, including an elevated mound with panoramic views for incredible sunsets, sunrises and stargazing. If you want to experience secluded tranquility in a lush desert setting, this is the right place.
We only accept one booking at a time, this way you will have the whole property to yourself for complete privacy! Please put the correct amount of people in your booking request - thank you.
You're welcome to explore the entire 40 acres. There are two of your very own nature trails - White Rabbit Loop and Golden Tortoise Trail, spanning 1 mile around the property. The trails are great for spotting wildlife such as jackrabbits, hummingbirds, roadrunners and desert squirrels. You may hear coyotes howling in the distance. There's a family of cows who visit the property. This is the middle of the desert, so please be mindful of potentially dangerous wildlife like snakes and scorpions... they are rare to encounter but are around, especially in the hotter months when they come out of hibernation (April - October).
There's an outhouse with a pit toilet (there may be toilet paper in the outhouse, but we recommend bringing your own just in case). There's also a shade stucture, a slide, a picnic table and a large fire pit with a grill. Other than that, there aren't any amenities here, so come prepared and bring plenty of water!
Pets are very welcome, we just ask that you pick up after them if they go on the mound / cleared area, and move it to the desert brush (we usually keep a shovel at the site you can use). Also be mindful of spikey plants, wildlife, and the fact the property is not fenced in.
There is no garbage disposal, please take all of your trash with you when you leave.
Be sure to bring your own bundle/s of fire wood for the fire pit as we do not provide this. Unfortunatley they do not sell firewood at the Yucca gas station, but you can get this in Kingman or Lake Havasu depending on where you're coming from.
No wifi here, but most major phone services work great.
The campsite is 5 miles from a paved road, the dirt road can be sandy in spots, so you'll need to be mindful of that.
The site is approximately 40 minutes to Lake Havasu City and 40 minutes to Kingman in the opposite direction. 20 mins to Area 66 UFO museum and the town of Yucca. Saguaro covered mountains just down the road from the campsite.

Tent
We really enjoyed camping on Abi's land! There were lots of flat spots for our two tents, plenty of room to park our car, and lots of fun areas to explore. We enjoyed the table with fairy lights for dinner and explored some of the trails in the daylight. The outhouse was super convenient. Abi gave us excellent directions so finding the property was easy. Our Corolla did fine on all of the roads, we just took it slow on some very sandy sections. We would definitely stay here again! :)

Beautiful and unique spot!
16 ft car
We loved it! We unfortunately were only passing through so we got there pretty late and had to leave fairly early but we woke up at sunrise and were able to watch the sun come up over the desert which was unbelievable. Very beautiful spot and easy to find even at night! Would absolutely come back for a longer trip.

If you like being alone in the world, this is the place! I think there was nobody around in 10 miles.
Nice sunset, small private open-air museum.
