I liked Hidden Gem a lot. There was a large flat grassy space and a fire ring. I appreciated having flush toilet and shower facilities. We were the first visitors in a while, but they tidied up for us after we arrives. Thank you! I also loved the calm and peaceful location near the stream. A couple things: outdoor shower area did not have any privacy and there is a (seasonal??) stream that we could not pass when we (sedan) were trying to drive to Sedona. We had to drive all the way around. I think it would have been nice to know that there is one direction that was impassable except with a high clearance vehicle. Finally, there are some curious goats… All food stuffs needed to be put away before and after each meal. That was my first HipCamp experience and it was a pretty good one.

Great site close to Sedona
Tent
We spent three nights here and I recommend it as a budget-friendly campsite close to all Sedona adventures. We booked this site for several reasons: wifi, flush toilets, a shower, potable water, and the ability to leave our camp set up the entire trip instead of tearing down each morning with dispersed camping. All advertised amenities were available and working. There’s a wonderful creek beside the campsite with stairs for easy access. It’s a great place to cool off on a hot afternoon, as there’s not much other shade on the property (or anywhere in AZ). I would book this site again! Some considerations: The outdoor shower had no curtain, so we used a blanket to hang from hooks and showered in our swimsuits. There are three goats that wander the property. They didn’t bug us much, but were very curious! I would not leave food out. A groundskeeper was at the property when we pulled up and he showed us around the property, otherwise it would have been a little confusing finding where to park, set up camp, bathrooms, and shower were. We had to text the host for wifi information once we arrived, but there is barely any cell service at the site, so I’d try to get this info ahead of time. There are occasionally people walking by your campsite to access the river. We had a sedan, which was fine, but I’d recommend a higher clearance vehicle since the last few miles are a rocky dirt road. Again, this worked well for us and we would book again!

Bad second stay
Tent
No response from the host before arriving, and no response about other people using the fire pit at the campsite while we were there. It was also my understanding that there was a fire ban in the area. Plus, the pool next to the campground appears to be leaking creating a muddy mess to walk through to get to the camp site. The site has much potential.
