Picturesque 20 acres with views in nearly all directions of multiple mountains and ranges. Most areas of property have stunning views of nothing but mountains and trees as far as the eye can see. Very quiet area in Bear Trap Ranch. Relatively level spot for camping and/or parking an RV available. No hookups available - completely off-grid. Would also recommend only a raised RV and nothing beyond 30 feet long - path from road up to the level area is not paved. We drive it with an RV trailered to our 4Runner or Tacoma that is slightly raised going slowly. Our 2021 EPro 20BHS (about 23 feet long) with the off road package after removing our WDH works well. Our son makes it onto the property and around the campsite just fine with a Nissan Versa FWD. You must take all garbage with you including excrement bags upon completion of your trip. Be bear aware - it is called "Bear Trap Ranch." Bring bear spray, do no leave any food or wrappers anywhere unsealed including in open vehicles. While we have never seen a bear on our property, it's possible that will change at any time. We have heard a coyote pack in the night (far away). Again, we have not seen them on our property, but be aware if you bring pets not to allow them to wander too far. Please check Teller County Colorado website - top right hand corner of their home page usually mentions whether there are current fire restrictions (hipcamp might not publish this but trying to list the website - https://tellercounty.gov/). If there a fire ban for the county, it would also apply at the property. Gas fire pits and gas grills are always ok - just please be careful! Explore nearby fishing/hiking/rock climbing at Eleven Mile Canyon, swimming at Guffey Gorge/Paradise Cove, hiking/exploring Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, and much more hiking/ATVing/and exploring nearby. Near Cripple Creek, Canon City, Guffey. Beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Colorado Springs up the pass through Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, and through Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Verizon signal - at the top of the "driveway hill" once you are on the property there is intermittently a signal enough to get an email, phone call, or text. There is not typically a signal otherwise. ATT I'm told has a nearly full signal most places in the area. Off-grid experience for true relaxation.Bring your family, enjoy the views, and have fun in nature! Hammock, tire swing, 4 wood folding chairs, a small plastic platform (for outside your tent door), a toilet seat (bring your own garbage bags), and 2 picnic tables on/near the tent site. Explore the 20 acres - hike around and see the views. Feel free to bring your ATVs, but be careful on the trail - there are parts with sharp curves and there are felled trees around. Some of the outer ledges are steep on some of the rock outcroppings. Sometimes you can get a Verizon signal at the top of the driveway hill, but it would not be enough for streaming, zoom, or games. You could make and receive calls and get emails if you catch a signal. We're told ATnT has a better signal in the area than Verizon. Owner's tent, deck, and sheds are strictly off-limits. Propane fire pits allowed. Please BYO. There is a wood fire pit available for use if there are not current fire restrictions for Teller County. Please check the upper right hand corner of the Teller County website home page for current fire restrictions. Feel free to move the fire pit where you would like it. Use any of the wood you can find if you like (lots sitting around) - but be aware some of it might not yet be dry enough for a fire, and it is not pre-cut firewood. Please take care not to burn/melt the existing platform, chairs, and/or picnic tables with your fire. If you want to bring/use a generator, use it anytime around the clock. Quiet time 11 pm to 6 am. Pets more than welcome. There are bears and mountain lions in the area - do not let your beloved pet become a snack. Speaking of bears, please do not leave any food or garbage out, anywhere, ever. ** Bears will come back to where they have found food again and again.** Bring bear spray and a hiking bell (if you plan to hike around). Be bear and other wildlife aware at all times. No cooking equipment or utensils are supplied. Please bring your own.  Please do not feed the deer or any other wildlife. Let them stay wild. No water or electricity. All trash including anything bathroom related must be cleaned up completely and taken with you. Leave no trace.
RV details
Travel trailers, Pop-up campers, Campervans, and Cars allowed
You *might* be able to get other RV types up to the area that's a little more level. We have only ever tried with our 23 foot travel trailer and a pop up camper. We have no problem getting those up and set and leveled if we go slow coming off the road and take our WDH off before coming off the road onto the property.

What to expect
RV/tent site
You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.

Campfires allowed
Firepit, private. When there are not fire restrictions per Teller county, fires are OK. https://tellercounty.gov/ There are a lot of felled trees and branches - use whatever wood you find. Feel free to use the fire pit at the site. Please ensure 1000% your fire is extinguished before sleeping and/or leaving - there is a LOT of 'fuel' (trees) for fires in the area and a forest fire would be devastating as well as expensive with fines and criminal charges.
Toilet available
Portable toilet. Portable folding toilet only - bring your own bags
Pets allowed
Pets on or off leash at your own risk and discretion (wild bears, mountain lions, and coyotes do live in the area). Our own dogs run off leash regularly during the day - not at night. There are a couple areas where their could be remnants of barbed wire from when the property was a working ranch. Neither our kids nor our dogs have ever had a problem with that, but be aware you might see some here and there (most has been collected and discarded).
Picnic table present
2 picnic tables - one wood, one resin
No potable water
Bring your own water
No showers
Pack it out
Cooking equipment absent
No wifi
Laundry absent
Hot Tub absent
No playground

We absolutely loved Jolene's property. It was very peaceful and private, with great views and plenty of space to explore. She was a very helpful host as well. We'll definitely be back sometime.

So fabulous!!! It’s a beautiful spot with amazing views. Plenty of space to spread out. Easily accessible, too. We had a Honda civic make the trip just fine!

We absolutely loved Jolene's property. The site is secluded and among the trees. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't see any people (or hear any generators :)) Perhaps I didn't read the listing well enough but the tire swing and hammock were a surprise and got lots of use during our stay. If you're looking for a secluded and peaceful campsite, you will love this site!
