40 remote acres on rugged, natural mountain at 9000' elevation. The air is very thin and the terrain is very rocky and steep. The views are unmatched anywhere. We are located just a few miles from 5 different gold medal fishing reservoirs, the Cave of the Winds, the Cliff Dwellings in Manitou Springs, and the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Sanctuary.

Magical experience!
Such a wonderful experience at this campsite! We miss it already! Matt was so helpful in every way possible especially when it came to transporting our items to and from our vehicle. We’d love to come back!

We had a great couple of days at Mydnyt Mountain. We appreciated all the extra extras Matthew provided from portable water, firewood, cast iron pans, and solar lights for at night. Our first night was a bit overcast, but the stars really put on a show the second night. We even got a little exercise walking to and from our car for supplies and outhouse.

This location and site are STUNNING, and the host has TRULY thought of so many supplies and comforts from solar lighting to coffee and tea with sugar and cream as well as a variety of cooking and camping tools to make the experience wonderful. There are 2 catches to be aware of: 1. There is a 200-ish meter walk that is somewhat steep in parts to get from your parking area to the site. The trail is well maintained, and if you’re not accustomed to walking fairly steep trails at altitude, you’ll need to pace yourself. It is doable. 2. The one shared bathroom for several camping sites is further down the steep trail. If you typically need to use the restroom facilities at night, some of this trail is lit with solar lights, but it is pretty steep as well. We opted to bring our own camping toilet and small shelter to ensure restroom facilities were close.

Great views, but a lot of walking
We loved the tent and campsite. The tent was well stocked with needed cooking equipment and sufficient bedding for the cold night. Plenty of firewood. There is one other tent currently in the area, but it’s out of sight and you couldn’t hear them at all. Views were spectacular as pictured on the description. What we were not so thrilled with was the hike down to the campsite and the additional hike down to the bathroom. When we made a reservation there were no reviews so we weren’t quite prepared for how steep it was. We’ve been tent campers in state parks, national parks and forest camps for 20 years so this was a different experience. If you are used to the usual pull up campsite, it will be different. My husband and I were thrilled with the 5G service due to the local cell tower. Four bars and superfast download speeds of 1.3 GB. Also be warned that the local Highway 24 is quite loud. We heard it late into the night and by 5:30 in the morning. It was loud again. But Matthew was a great host and we could see he has put a lot of good effort into creating an interesting camp experience

Fantastic experience all around
This site is absolutely amazing. 360 degree views, a great fire pit, very comfortable accomodations inside the tent. We saw two deer when we were making coffee in the morning. My only regret is wishing I stayed another night. Be prepared that you might have to hike a short and steep route to get to the site, but it's well worth the effort.

Very comftorable and beautiful site
This place is an absolute hidden gem. It was an incredible experience and I wish we had more time on the property. Matthew was a great host and provided everything you could possibily need outside of food/clothes. The views are incredible. I 100% plan on returning and couldn’t recommend this site more
