We purchased this property to have a place to get away from the stress and demands of city life. We have over 100 acres here and lots of animals on our farm that you can see and visit from the campground. We also have hiking trails through approximately 80 acres in the back of the property with steep hills and ravines to hike or bring your mountain bikes!
It’s very quiet here except for the sounds of the farm animals and roosters crowing in the morning. You can also hear the occasional train passing through nearby. If you enjoy seeing the stars you will really enjoy it here the sky is very dark at night. Don't forget to bring your flashlights. Lol!

Piney Hill Campground offers a charming blend of nature and friendly hospitality, perfect for families and solo adventurers alike. Visitors consistently praise the clean and well-maintained amenities, including bathrooms and showers, which feature automatic lighting for added convenience. The presence of farm animals, such as emus and miniature horses, adds an enjoyable and unique element to the stay, especially for children. The hosts, Lisa and James, are frequently mentioned for their welcoming demeanor and commitment to ensuring a pleasant experience, further complemented by the scenic hiking trails on the property.
The platform is well-built and has tent tie-down anchors, which were very handy and avoided the need for tent stakes. The site is not crowded like state parks can be, yet within eyesight of other sites through trees, which is fine. The bathrooms are nice and were kept clean and stocked. (Although, the automatic lights were a tad annoying when they turned off while you’re still in the bathroom.) The site is *just* far enough away from the office where the WiFi becomes pretty spotty. However, we’re camping to unplug, right?! Nonetheless, it was a pleasant stay except for the stupid train that woke me up several times in the middle of multiple nights during our stay. But the owners can’t really help that - who are very nice and accommodating.
This was such a great stop! Lisa and James were so nice, their little farm was well kept and my kids loved the animals. We stayed in one of their RV spots, the facility was really nice, hot showers, laundry, clean bathrooms and they have a dump station on site!! I will be back here.
Campground is well run, clean, safe, with nice bathrooms. The campsite we had was private with good shade. I didn't get any bug bites, no ticks or chiggers. Lisa was friendly and super responsive to any requests. Lots of farm animals and walking trails. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay for spring break. Property was ideal for us. My daughter loved all the animals. We went on a night hike up the hill to take in the dark sky.
This place was nothing short of amazing. We booked tent site #3 and upon arrival, the space was clean and ready to go with two beautiful ponies as neighbors! Lisa & staff were extremely helpful and if you are lucky enough, you might even get a visit from Loki, the farm working dog! We were able to visit a number of other farm animals that were ready to see us. Outhouse/bath area was very clean which made this trip feel like a luxury while being nestled in nature. Needless to say, we did not want to leave. Will definitely be back!
