Lake Georgia-Sue is an 85 acre oasis of relaxation and fun. We are located in East Central Kansas, not far from Kansas City, Topeka, Lawrence, and Wichita. The lake itself is 8 acres, with a lot of fish, swimming, small craft boating, kayaking, and wind surfing. The property has numerous sites where you can private pasture your horses, work them in our private round pens, and trail ride them in the hundreds of miles of trails that intersect the property. These are VERY large and private campsites with no nosey or loud neighbors. Sites are for primitive camping, RVs needing electric hookups via available generators, fresh water. Lakefront sites or forest sites are available. Showers, toilets, AC Clubhouse, playground, ponies, pet pigs, goats, and chickens. Pet friendly. Group camping for up to 25 people. Great for weddings, birthdays, etc We are just a short drive from four larger state lakes. An abundance of good restaurants are just ten minutes away, and sometimes we take a trail ride to eat Mexican or BBQ in the village close by.

Hiking, biking, camping
This lake sits along a beautiful backdrop of trees and fields. These are some of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen. The animals add so much charm and innocence. This is the second time I’ve had the privilege of camping there in the last month. My five-year-old grandson and I have made some incredible bonding memories. We hike and explore the land. We have learned to build a fire and fish together. Watching him feed and pet animals tugs at my heartstrings. I love camping under the stars but the railroad is loud so earplugs really help. I love the sound of railroads so the whistle really don’t bother me. If you don’t want to camp, a day visit would also be a blessing. I can’t really put my finger on it, but it’s such an incredibly peaceful environment. I look forward to staying there half a dozen times a year.

What a fun evening for our family! We wanted just an outdoor space to have a campfire and relax for a family day, and this was the perfect spot! Fred was the most gracious host. We got a camp site right near the water. The kids loved petting all the animals and we loved walking around the trail on the property. Good memories were made here!

Fall break campout
the lake and area around was beautiful, we enjoyed the camp spot we had and will possibly come again. My Grandson’s enjoyed the hay ride on Sunday before we left. The clubhouse was great and the little animals all around were so cute. The area was clean and peaceful ( with the exception of the trains passing through), Though trains came fairly regularly, it did not keep us from enjoying our time. It was fun walking through the area and seeing all the horses, fish were jumping, so we should have gone fishing

Beautiful farm on a lake near town
22 ft travel trailer ·
Fred’s land is a beautiful retreat on the lake. We enjoyed the animals and the morning views. There is a fire pit available and a picnic table to use to enjoy sitting and eating outside. Unfortunately there was a very loud group nearby but thankfully Fred took care of it. I would stay there again. Try Mugshot coffee in town!

Camping with Animals
This was my first Hipcamp experience and it was amazing! From the moment I got there, a baby goat greeted me, and the views were stunning. Fred took me on a tour of the land, and I discovered all kinds of wonderful hiking areas. The horses were so Peaceful. I enjoyed the sunrise over the lake and the sunsets. There is a train that Runs nearby and after the first day, it just became a natural part of the land. I got to take my Grandson fishing for the first time and it was so much fun. I am actually a biker and I couldn’t believe that the Flint nature trailhead was within one minute of the campsite so I enjoyed exploring and that was just another Blessing and bonus part of this camping experience. I really appreciate That someone is willing to share their land and give a teacher a wonderful fall break. I will admit that I was sad to have to leave, but that just Means I will be going back. There are so many special touches to this place but the animals definitely set it apart from anywhere else I’ve ever camped.
