On our 500 acre property we have a small area which is currently available for camping whilst our riding school horses enjoy their summer spell.
With scenic views of the mountain Gai-i, there is a hot shower, flushing toilet and camp fire area with a Brazilian style BBQ and a gas BBQ.
We are only a 15 minute drive from the beach town of Yeppoon, which is also the gateway to The southern Great Barrier Reef and fringing reefs of Great Keppel Island.
What a beautiful spot! We camped under the trees the first 2 nights, and then were invited by Madeline to move under the shed because of the weather for the last two nights, which we were very grateful for! Super friendly hosts, helpful facilities including a hot shower and a great cooking area. Kids loved the open space and seeing the horses and kangaroos each day.
This site was a really nice location with great facilities, the hot showers were really good. We had a little rain but the covered area with the fire place made this a non issue with Madeline being a great host.
We never met the owners, if we had that would have made a difference. We found getting to the farm quite difficult- going down a narrow dirt road with no signage on the way. We had to turn the van around with great difficulty. The web page said there was 2 toilets, one inside and one outside, and a shower. We found a toilet on the side of the large shed next to the fireplace. The bunkhouse was not locked and we found a shower in there. But when we got back after a visit to town we found the bunkhouse had been locked. We looked around again looking for a shower but we found nothing. We suspect the shower and toilet was locked up behind the bars near the fireplace.
It was a very peaceful place to stay.
