Perfect spot for the Eclipse! We have 32.7 ares that can be used. The stars are amazing. The stillness & quiet of the night are amazing! The Llano River & the Frio River are about 30 minutes away. You can visit South Llano River State Park, Garner State Park, Los Maples & the Devil's sinkhole.

Camping under the Milky Way

We loved the property and the host was amazing. Super quiet and isolated. Stars were bright with the Milky Way was clear to the naked eye. There are multiple places to camp. Great spot.

Total Eclipse

We stayed on Joe and Deb's land to be proximate to the total eclipse. There ranch land is GORGEOUS. Especially when we stayed in early April: everything was in bloom! Joe and Deb were friendly and gracious hosts. We were shown to a parcel that was private and made us feel like were were the only living souls in hill country. If we could have, we truly would have loved to have stayed longer.

Great place to stay!

Deb and her husband are very friendly and trustworthy. They have lots of land that's perfect for pitching a tent on, and they gave me plenty of flexibility in choosing a site. They left me alone (I wanted to go to bed early), but it seemed like if I wanted to hang out and talk or meet their goats, they would have done that too. They said I was free to wander their land while I stayed, and I took a nice short walk. And they were right about the beautiful dark sky for stargazing. Oh, and their place was accessible without 4-wheel drive or high clearance -- the dirt road was in excellent shape.
