Fries New River Crashpad is ideally located at the crux of direct access to the New River State Park and New River Trail, a cafe, the town park, and the Fries Community Center (library, free WiFi, swimming pool, and theatre). Tube, swim, kayak, hike, bike, join in the Thursday night jam; it's all there just outside your door! A unique mix of indoor stay, camping, and glamping, Fries Crashpad provides a basic clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced space for groups of up to 10 people who are mainly here for the outdoor opportunities in the area. There are 8 single and one queen air mattresses. Please note that air mattresses are not safe for ages 18 mos. and younger. No linens of any kind are provided; bring your own sheets, pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, towels, dishrags, etc. Four rolls of toilet paper and one of paper towels are provided; there is a Dollar General in town. There is a full kitchen; guests may not use the dishwasher. Silverware, plates, drinking cups and a few pots and pans are provided. There is no living room nor bedroom furniture. There are folding tables and chairs in the kitchen. Two full bathrooms. Guests may store bikes, kayaks, etc. in the stand-up crawl space; bring your own padlock if desired. This property is in-town and has a small yard. There is on-site and on-street parking. This is not a hostel or shared space, you will have the entire space.The house is located within sight of and one block away from the New River State Park and New River Trail trailhead. This is the only public direct access to the River in Fries. Bring your kayak and put in, or bring your bike and hop right on the Trail. The Town Community Center is located directly across the street, where you will find the theatre (community jams on Thursday evenings), public swimming pool ($4/person), library, and more! A diner and a restaurant are also located at the riverfront, just steps away. Head to the National Forest for hiking, just minutes away. This is a good sized space, with 3 rooms for sleeping, a full kitchen, and 2 full bathrooms. The screened in porch offers a great view of the New River.
