Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park adventure.
Learn about the history of jazz when you visit this national historical park. The Rangers really know their musical history, so don't miss their daily talks. You might get lucky and catch a concert as well.
Get there a little early to get a good seat for a performance by one of the city's amazing jazz artists—and yes, your seat is included with your (low) price of admission. Don't be surprised if the same Park Ranger who introduces the performers picks up a clarinet and sits down to play with the band.
While you're waiting for your concert, stroll through the museum. You'll see instruments owned by famous jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong and a wealth of photography. There is a great exhibit all about the fun that is Mardi Gras. As an added bonus, the Visitor Center has great air conditioning, which is great on a hot New Orleans day. The Junior Ranger program is great at this park, and your kids are likely to love all the music.
Campsites at small-town farms and rustic cabins near the bayou are just some of the lodging available on Hipcamp. Hook up your RV near a river or a lake filled with amenities and fun.
