A Great place to have your own private and secluded campsite, away from the holiday crowds.
160 acres of working goat and alpaca farm on the highlands of the Darling Downs, only 8 km from the New England Highway.

All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas.

There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike.

Dogs are permitted but have to be quiet and restrained. Campfires permitted at our discretion (please ask first - depending on weather conditions). You'll need to BYO wood.
Campers MUST have their own toilet. The standard "Pack it in. Pack it out" rules apply.

All sites are accessible by STANDARD HEIGHT 2WD however 4WD may be required if towing.

There is a 'special' site reserved for Larger RVs and Caravans.

Cooby Dam is only minutes away for fishing, Kayaking and canoeing

Stunning views from our property at Silver Ridge. We have a wedding at times so the grounds are very well manicured...We like to caravan ourselves and are always looking for nice spots so we thought we'd open up our place to others. 

Guests need to have own amenities so we welcome caravans and motorhomes with onboard amenities. Bring your own water.

Easy access and van parking in the bitumen carpark area. There is a lovely grassed area you can enjoy during the day (no vehicle access to the grassed area).

10am to 12pm-2pm to 5.30. Please ensure you are able to be here by 5.30pm.

Check in outside these times by prior arrangement only. 

10 am Check out time. 

The Chookhouse is situated approximately 20 minutes south of Toowoomba on 23 acres.  

Please note that there are other dogs and animals in the area.

We also have grain trains that pass by throughout the day and night.

When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take. Drive up to the sign and call number on sign. Please wait for staff member to come out and greet you in your car.

LONG TERM RENTALS AVAILABLE

Amenity block with hot water and flushing toilets for those booked in Pepperina. ADULTS ONLY STRICTLY NO CHILDREN. LIMITED SITES.

Top Paddock power, Top Paddock powered and Paddock Camp unpowered we have gas camp style showers (preset temperature for the safety of children). It will not be a hot shower like you have at home, however you will get clean.

There are also pit toilets in the camp areas.

In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE.

WE DO NOT HAVE WATER TO FILL YOUR CARAVAN.

Plenty of room for self-contained caravans/motorhomes and places to pitch a tent or camper.

National Parks, walking trails, Wineries, Gourmet Pubs and Restaurants, Markets, two magnificent parks with play areas for children and so many other points of interest to see and discover.

You get to meet cows, pigs, alpacas, Boer goats Dorper Sheep, a multitude of chickens, geese, peacocks and guinea fowl.

Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required.

Twilight Grove Farm

Twilight Grove is 120 acres of horse paddocks and peaceful natural bushland adjoining 2500 acres of State Forest. The property gives a safe haven for all native animals. Enjoy bush walking and mountain bike riding in the forest. We have a number of sites to choose from. Wivenhoe & Somerset Dams are nearby and you can sail and waterski on Somerset Dam. Fishing is also good.Gypsy Field is a gentle sloping, grassed paddock with limited shade. There are no toilets & showers. Suits self contained campers only. Dogs friendly!Silky Oak is the smallest area which could comfortably take two caravans. The area is a flat shady space among trees.Banksia Grove Camp area is not grassed, it is surrounded by trees. Shady Hollow is a grassed area surrounded with trees. Suitable for four caravans Suits self contained travellers as there are no amenities. Your holidaying horses are welcome here too, please book as an Extra (BYO feed).This property suits self contained travellers as there are no amenities. Dogs are welcome!

There are some very private campsites available or you can choose to be near the pottery shed where breakfast is available for $18 and barista coffee for $5. 

Pottery lessons are also available for $77.00 for a 3-hour booking and Deborah, our resident Potter, is capable of instructing young or experienced potters.

Coal Creek Pottery camping is located near Esk and Somerset Lake, with eateries and opportunities for swimming and boating. It's only 113 km from Brisbane, making it ideal for a weekend or a couple of weeks away. Enjoy the beautiful views and the peace and quiet of this serene location.

Drive up to the pottery shed and introduce yourself, then find a camping spot that suits you and relax in the very peaceful and picturesque area for a relaxing holiday.
