Caravan parks near Toowoomba guide

Overview

Hemmed in by flower-filled parks and gardens, wild bushlands, and not one but three national parks—it’s easy to see how Toowoomba earned its nickname of “The Garden City”. Time your visit for the annual Carnival of Flowers in spring, go bushwalking in Ravensbourne National Park, or spot wildlife at The Palms National Park, then set out for an epic bike ride along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Campers have just as many options available, from farm stays and riverside retreats to back-to-nature bush camping. Snag a spot at Lake Cressbrook or Yarramalong Weir campgrounds, an unpowered RV site at Crows Nest National Park, or a powered site at the caravan park or holiday park. And if you need a break from Mother Nature, don’t worry. Queensland’s largest inland city is also a buzzing urban center known for its vibrant street art, unique museums, and café culture.
