If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation. There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks. You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau. Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers. SORRY WE ARE FULLY BOOKED FOR OCT 4TH, 5TH & 6TH The River Orchard is a majestic 165 acres property nestled between the Oxley River and Mt Warning. The working macadamia farm boasts five campsites each positioned in different nooks with only one group booked in per campsite. Pets and campfires welcome. Hot water shower and compost toilet cleaned several times a day. The Flats Site - The Flats is an extra large site closest to the Oxley River enjoying direct water access with two levels. The first is sheltered by an overhanging sour cherry tree and overlooks the bottom plateau and swimming spot. This site is a short three minute walk to the shower shed. Riverview Site - Riverview is perched on the raised riverbank looking down upon the swimming spot and rapids. A sprawling old tree shelters this extra spacious campsite ideal for large groups. We recommend Riverview for guests with younger children as it does not have direct river access and is the closest to the shower shed. Orchard View - Situated next to the Riverview campsite, this location is close to the river with stunning views across the macadamia orchard. The Grove - The Grove is one of our cosiest sites framed by a towering tree complete with stag horns, with branches that sprawl out over the campsite offering an abundance of shade. Close to the shower shed & a short walk to the river. The Pine Hideaway - This is our most private and stunning site. It looks out over the lotus flower filled dam to mountain panoramas and a secluded island. We look forward to welcoming you.

Discover 528 acres of Wollumbin paradise. McKenzies Mountain is run by a sixth generation pioneer family, and boasts a kilometer of river frontage, four kilometers interspersed with waterfalls and rockpools, over a hundred acres of pristine rainforest, and a 2000 ft elevation mountain peak. Plus it's home to 125 head of cattle. It's simply a magical country camping spot. There is plenty to do, including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and crystal fossicking. Just next door, within walking distance, is the Hare Krishna farm, where they run Hare Krishna farm tours, workshops, and Yoga retreats. Each camping area has been chosen to ensure space and privacy for all guests, good access and lovely views.

The River Orchard

SORRY WE ARE FULLY BOOKED FOR OCT 4TH, 5TH & 6TH The River Orchard is a majestic 165 acres property nestled between the Oxley River and Mt Warning. The working macadamia farm boasts five campsites each positioned in different nooks with only one group booked in per campsite. Pets and campfires welcome. Hot water shower and compost toilet cleaned several times a day. The Flats Site - The Flats is an extra large site closest to the Oxley River enjoying direct water access with two levels. The first is sheltered by an overhanging sour cherry tree and overlooks the bottom plateau and swimming spot. This site is a short three minute walk to the shower shed. Riverview Site - Riverview is perched on the raised riverbank looking down upon the swimming spot and rapids. A sprawling old tree shelters this extra spacious campsite ideal for large groups. We recommend Riverview for guests with younger children as it does not have direct river access and is the closest to the shower shed. Orchard View - Situated next to the Riverview campsite, this location is close to the river with stunning views across the macadamia orchard. The Grove - The Grove is one of our cosiest sites framed by a towering tree complete with stag horns, with branches that sprawl out over the campsite offering an abundance of shade. Close to the shower shed & a short walk to the river. The Pine Hideaway - This is our most private and stunning site. It looks out over the lotus flower filled dam to mountain panoramas and a secluded island. We look forward to welcoming you.

A special camping experience can be enjoyed at this spectacular location in QLD close to the NSW border for ADULTS ONLY i.e. 18 years and older and able bodied. Lamington National Park adjoins this outrageously beautiful property that features the waterfall made famous by actress Laura Dern in the iconic Sunsilk shampoo commercial filmed here in 1998. (LGBT welcome). PLEASE NOTE: The Hipcamp service fee varies according to the amount of the booking. For one guest for one night the service fee is 18% approx. of the camp site fee. Bookings at Natural Bridge Retreat have to be for a minimum of two nights. As most bookings are for two or more people for two or more nights, the service fee is generally 11.2%. A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation. There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks. You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau. Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers. Mobile reception (Telstra works the best), flushing toilets (ladies & gents), hot shower and campfires are permitted in designated locations - sorry no pets.
