    Welcome to our not-for-profit grounds, now open to the public. The camp has been set up as a youth-oriented facility that welcomes travellers and regional people. All proceeds go towards running costs and improving facilities. We have an onsite caretaker (LES) for maintaining the property. Dog friendly (must be controlled at all times!) and good access for caravans and all types of vehicles.A large flat grassed area for camping and 200m walk to The Boyne River at Pikes Crossing with access for swimming. There is an area to launch small boats and ideal for canoeing and kayaking in protected waters. Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this. We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings. We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.

We are pet friendly, "ONLY ONE DOG PER SITE" and must remain on leads or runs whilst on the property. Please note that animals are not permitted in any of the undercover common areas or swimming pool enclosure. We are a short 2 minute drive to the new Agnes Central shopping center, 5 minutes to Agnes Water town centre and local beaches, and a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of 1770. Our property runs on rain water and On-tap drinking water is available in the camp kitchen. If you are looking to escape from the crowded caravan parks, you will love our piece of paradise.

    Casuarina Park is a 640 acre working property situated 10.3km off the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland between Gladstone and Rockhampton. Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

We have the goal of becoming as self sufficient as possible and currently we are producing a large amount of our own food. We have a massive array of animals and always are having new additions, which is always exciting. We are open to people coming to just experience what we have created or even getting their hands dirty. We have learnt so much coming here and are happy to pass on what ever knowledge that we have gained but also open to learn from you all too. We are located about 40mins from Agnes Water and are super connected to the amazing Agnes community. We have a couple of areas that power can be tapped into and also a second outside bathroom that is welcomed to be used.

    This campsite is located at Captain Creek. 15kms from Agnes water 1770. on 40 acres with a seasonal creek. We have a lovely natural bush setting with privacy. Suited for off grid campers. You will see kangaroos and lots of bird life to watch. Our region is well known for surfing, however Agnes Water and 1770 are also home to calm inlets tailor-made for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. BYO paddleboard or explore the coastline and waterways by kayak. You can even paddle past Captain Cook’s landing point and on towards the headland to watch the sun set over the ocean (a rare sight on Australia’s East coast). Follow the trail or take your mountain bike along boardwalks and across stepping stones on the 1.5 hr, 3km Red Rock Trail. You can start your adventure at the end of Springs Beach and head south along rocky trails peppered with pandanus palms all the way to the far end of Red Rock Beach. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water and a picnic table for meals. Plenty of space for bushwalking or sit back around camp fire or just read books. There are some great mountain views to be seen while walking around and site seeing, and Eurimbula National Park is close by. For boating and fishing enthusiasts, the beach is just a few mins drive away. We're located close to Agnes Water for all your shopping and supply needs. Pets welcome.

    Weekend Trip to     Take-A-Break Bush Camp
    We booked all 13 sites for one night for a quiet birthday - just us, our 2 dogs and a few friends. There had been a huge amount of rainfall in the area right up to the day we went . All groups were concerned about access onto the camp site as we had a Coaster bus, Winebago, Mercedes van and a camper trailer. The track in was great, solid with absolutely no problems getting in. We had sites 4 -8 originally picked out for the group but all ended up staying on the higher drier land near the showers. Sites 1 through to 5, just as the dam was so full. Had an awesome time - from wallowing in the dam, to fishing and catching a feed of Red Claw. It was just easy, peaceful and private. Mosquitos / bugs were another initial concern from reading reviews and how wet it was from the rain - dont get me wrong, they were there BUT no one got bitten or annoyed - everyone commented on that factor. 😄 GREAT communication from Ian and Tracy - A1 hosts. We will be back.

    Our original campsite was unavailable due to construction works however our Hosts Mike and Laura couldn’t have been more accommodating. They resolved the issue within minutes and moved us to the Grass Trees campsite. All we can say is wow! The views from this site are amazing. The great amenities and very well kept- top class. We highly recommend this campsite and definitely be back (maybe we will even book a teepee) 🏕️🩷

    1770 ecocamp was a beautiful.peaceful place to camp. Close to everything but when you enter the camp site you feel a million miles away from the hussle & bussle. Staff were great, and the camp kitchen had everything you need. Can't wait to visit again

    Located between Rockhampton and Emu Park beach. 711 Thompson Point Road Nankin Our campsites are located in a rural setting with plenty of shady trees, friendly cows and mountain views close to the Fitzroy River. Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping watching the sunset. It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). The dam is a pristine eco area and no soap/detergents/chemicals to used in/around it. The dam is stocked with silver perch and bass – catch and release.
