The Scrub Campsite - Inman Valley

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top caravans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. All bookings will be cancelled if a severe or catastophic fire is forecast by the weather bureau. Campers can claim a refund from Hipcamp A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. (Keen Road entrance) Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 10pm. Noisy campers has been my biggest complaint so please respect others and adhere to the policy. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note that a fenced off dam is located near the campsite and is out of bounds to all children unless supervised by an adult. Rubbish must be removed by all campers as no bins are available. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. You may meet any of the three different species of kangaroos, echidnas, or 85 species of birds including wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons who call Spear Creek home. Eckert’s Old Place

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda. Campfires welcome when not in fireban season. You can order a wheelbarrow load for $30, or bring your own. Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. Please advise if you intend to bring your dog.

Beltana Flinders Historic Town

We are closed for the off season but feel free to book from 1st March on we would love to see you. Located at the end of a bitumen road in the town of Beltana, the campsites are adjacent to the local hall. There are showers, toilets, a free BBQ in the community park , mobile phone coverage and potable water available We are the closest campground to the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. Beltana is a State Heritage listed town in Adnyamathanha country. Beltana is important as it is the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, was influential in the establishment of the Overland Telegraph and was important is the states early settlement. Beltana has survived in spite of the challenges and has an excellent walking trail detailing this history for visitors. There is capacity to have a fire in a communal fire pit, but please bring your own wood. Dogs on leashes welcome. This campsite offers a safe and comfortable place for campers who are travelling through on their holiday and need somewhere to stop overnight, but two nights is recommended to give you a chance to visit this historic town. The town is significant is South Australian history and there is interpretative signage that provides the visitor with an informative trail. Whilst with us visit the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. We have the closest camping facilities.

Arno Bay Caravan and Camping

Blombery Road Campground is located just 3km north of the relaxing beach town of Arno Bay. The grounds are set on beautiful, undeveloped coastal land with direct beach access. It's basic, but it's natural, and that's how we like it. And our guests do too! We offer unpowered sites closer to the beach and powered sites set back from the beach on a slight rise with a view. Both options have access to our shared toilet and hot shower facilities. We also have two ensuite sites where you can enjoy your own private ensuite with a flushing toilet, hot water shower, and power. The land here is very sandy in parts, with low scrub in some areas, but access to most sites is still good for all types of vehicles. There is also plenty of space for larger vehicles to turn around, and to park boats etc. Children under 12 stay free, however, please ensure they are still booked in as we need to cap our total camp capacity at 20 people at any one time due to the delicate nature of the grounds. This also helps keep the campground quiet and relaxing for everyone.

Pichi Richi Park

Pichi Richi Park is our family owned and operated property, 13km south of Quorn in the heart of the Pichi Richi Pass. We have plenty of campsites, including bush campsites that are secluded and private, along with campsites that are much closer to our bathrooms, group accommodation, kitchens and bush cabins. Here at Pichi Richi Park, there are a number of signposted walking tracks ranging in distance from a few km up to a 10km+ loop. The Heysen Trail comes through our property for nearly 7km and some of our own walking tracks link with the Heysen as it meanders through our property. You can also ride your mountain bike around and the Mawson Bike Trail is not far away. We have over 1,000 acres of land around our accommodation that we do not graze as we are allowing this beautiful piece of Aussie outback to return to its original and pristine state. We are not a caravan park, so all campers and caravanners that come here get a fair bit of space and nobody is on top of anyone else. Quorn is our local town and is 13km away to the north. Quorn has 2 pubs, a number of cafes and a little supermarket that is open from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week.
