Although we didn't get to meet Steve, he has a lovely well kept property with lots of level places to pitch a tent or position your caravan. Really enjoyed our quiet and relaxed stay with everything you need all close by. There is power and water available at the shed, but it may be necessary to bring your own extension lead and hose with adapters.

We loved our first tent camping experience with our 1 year old, the site was secure and enclosed which was great with a roaming baby and pets, water and power were available, if you need a shower youll need to bring your own powered one otherwise at East Beach Geelong the public showers are heated until 10am. Daisy was really nice and accomodating to any of our requests. We were able to have a fire pit using our own wood, and for 3 nights we only needed 8 logs. The pool wasnt accessible to swimming at this time of year as the weather didnt permit. The area was quiet, serene and other guests we met were really lovely. This spot is 25 minutes from Barwon heads and its beaches, which is one of our favourite areas and your not too far from shops and the esplanade if you feel like being social. We will be coming back again.

Stayed during the Easter long weekend. I loved the place n the host Grace was friendly n helpful. Learned quite a lot about horses 🐎 at her ranch. Clean toilets n shower giving you the comforts you need. There were about 14 campers in the campsite, but you had the privacy given that camping area is huge n had quite a distance from each other. Attended the Easter bf as well. Yea is only 15 km drive, n drove down to Broadford motor cycle track, to watch a track day.

4 nights at Wildcroft an Escape to the Country

We loved camping at Grace's place. She is a lovely host, checking on us everyday, we went during Easter and we had some activities such as deer walk and breakfast. And in the end, she organized a trip to the top of the mountains in her property and the view was amazing. There is bathroom and hot showers. The campsite was great to see wildlife such as kangaroos, birds, deers and a part of the horses and livestock she raises. Only recommendation: bring your own potable water

Awesome little spot tucked behind the dam and nestled between the blackberrys on the seasonal creek. The puppy would come visit each morning to hang out with the kids. Lovely little walk around the property visiting the sheep and alpaca neighbours. Felt very welcomed on arrival.

We had the best time relaxing, switching off and soaking up serene countryside views by day and spectacular starry skies by night. This was our first camping weekend away with our puppy and we couldn't have asked for a better place for it. Grace and her family have created such a wonderful space, perfect for relaxing, having fun and enjoying the countryside either alone or with the other guests if you fancy it. We took a walk up the hill to sit and take in the beautiful views while writing our vows, which is a memory we will never forget. The showers and toilets were great and the communal BBQ came in handy too. I would highly recommend Grace’s land to anyone, especially to those looking to take time away from their devices and truly appreciate the beauty around them. Thank you so much Grace, you'll be seeing us again!

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and our expectations were high. Helen greeted us on arrival and showed us several camp sites , she check on us from times to time to see if we needed anything , all was good. The setting was quiet and rural with the odd cow saying hello. Our dogs loved the location for walks and we found it perfectly central to local district sights and attractions. Great time had. We enjoyed our long weekend at Grace’s land. It is very convenient if you are riding the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Grace was super friendly and so was her dog spot. Toilets and hot showers were a bonus. A great place to relax would visit again.

We had a wonderful experience camping at Milleara Garden. From the moment we arrived, Helen was incredibly friendly and attentive, promptly answering all our questions as we navigated our first adventure into off-grid camping. The surroundings were absolutely stunning, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers creating a serene atmosphere. It felt like a peaceful retreat, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, and the tranquility was a refreshing escape from the constant noise of traffic.

But we can’t guarantee it will always be completely silent during the day or at night- especially if the lambs or calves or foals are being weaned from their mothers! Ear plugs are available for light sleepers if required. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you. Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for. A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing. Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed. What is available off farm? Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins. If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time. East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area. Not much grass or shade, although a few nice spots under shady trees to relax after a day out digging for treasures. Plenty of good tracks close by for dirt bikes or horse riding. Own yards need to be provided at this point. Wedderburn has all that is needed for supplies, fantastic cafe and takeaway, lovely country pub and quality little supermarket with decent bottle shop. This campsite has access to drinking water and a toilet (but no shower). There is access to rubbish facilities. Relax by the crackling fire in the evenings.
