Our farm is located in Carrajung Lower, Central Gippsland where is 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne. As the name reveals we live on a small ridge with at least 3 pairs of Kookaburras living around our house. With a 52 acre property we run miniature sheep to keep our land green and produce ethically raised 100% grass fed lamb. Each site has three levels. The top level is for vans and/or tents; the middle level is for tents only and the bottom level is the fire pit area. Surrounded by pine plantation and native trees, you can enjoy secluded time without neighbours except native animals and birds! Perfect for bushwalking or mountain biking. What you can do around here: 30 minutes drive to Tarra Bulga National Park, Woodside Beach and Maryvale Pines MTB track. 20 minutes to Yarram for shopping and awesome coffee, also popular for Heesco murals. Outdoor swimming pool is open in summer time where you can have a hot shower. 5 minutes to Carrajung Estate which has exceptional wine and incredible cuisine.

The seclusion and privacy of our property allows for total relaxation in a serene hillside setting, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of work and city life. We also have a fun BMX / E-bike style track on the property for everyone to enjoy!! (Strictly NO motorbikes permitted) Site 1: Open and spacious big site with great views, Fits up to 12 people. Site 2 and 3 are closer to each other, and a bit smaller, surrounded by big pine trees, fit up to 8 people in each site, so it’s suitable for bigger groups that may like to camp near each other. Site 4: is high up and has spectacular views, fit up to 12 people. Site 5: is the most secluded, big site, fits up to 12 people. Also with great views. Please no loud music - we are a place for those looking to relax. up to two pets per site and they must be well behaved. Newly Built composting toilets, no showers. Tank water available. Guest must take all rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are permitted (if no fire ban). We have firewood available to purchase ($20 Cash for a large wheelbarrow), BYO or feel free to gather fallen timber from around the property. We allow only ELECTRIC chainsawing on site between 1pm-4pm . Some attractions in the region close by include Tarra-Bulga National park 30min drive, 90mile Woodside Beach 25min drive, Yarram shopping town 20min drive, Toms Cap Vineyard 5 min drive, Port Albert 35min drive and Agnes Falls 50min drive. Come relax, enjoy and unwind :)

Tambo Trailside Paddock

We are offering our paddock for easy, convenient camping. We are located half way ( 20mins drive ) between Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance. Our local pub and general store are only a 6 minute drive away. Our place offers an access gate onto the famous 'East GippslandRail Trail'. The paddock itself is roughly 4 acres. We are happy to have horses stay as well as dogs so long as temporary fencing is provided by equine owners. Check out the famous 90mile beach, and even the locally owned buisness 'venture out' that hires stand up paddle boards/bikes and more for your convenience located in lakes entrance. Although we do not offer toilets and showers, there are toilets and showers only 6minutes drive down the road at the local Johnsonville boat ramp, and also a dumping point at Nicholson boat ramp (10minutes drive). We have lots of amazing fishing spots on offer in our area, some are as little as (5mins) away. Boat ramp located only (6mins drive) at Johnsonville. We welcome boats to stay also but do recommend flushing your boats at one of the local car washes, due to us not offering the facilities to complete your boat care. We are also only 15minutes from the Metung hot springs. Or head the other way to Paynesville and Raymond Island to see the Koalas and kangaroos and have a dining experience with a water view (only 35mins drive). We have our beautiful local swim spot at Tambo Bay (14-minute drive) from our camping paddock, that's perfect for a wind down on a summer's day. Or if you just want to relax and wind down, you might just enjoy admiring the birds around you and the frogs singing from dusk till dawn in the dam located within the camping paddock. Pets are welcome, we ask that you take all rubbish with you on departure.

The farm backs onto the Mt Alfred State Forest and is close to the beautiful Mitchell River National park. Mt Alfred is a fantastic forest with many great tracks to explore on horse back, mountain bike or on foot. Horses and dogs are welcome. There is plenty of space on a large, grassy flat area for camping and parking. There are paddocks for horses and a guide is available. The farm and surrounding bush is an Owl habitat and the property has an amazing abundance of bird life. It is just 25 minutes from Bairnsdale and the Gippsland lakes where you can explore the beautiful beaches and walking tracks. There are shops available for basic supplies within 10 minutes. We have a fire pit for you to light a campfire. There is a drop toilet and shower. Please take all rubbish with you on departure.

Woodside Gardens offers private campsites for guests to choose from, located among natural bush of tea tree and gum trees. Guests must be mostly self contained and must take all waste/rubbish with them on departure. We have a new toilet available for our campers but not showers Fire are allowed as long as the fire ban guidelines are followed. We have fire pits available for you to use free of charge. There is also plenty of wood around the place that you are welcome to pick up. A small saw is recommended to cut up some of the bigger pieces. Just a 5 minute drive to the magnificent 90 mile beach and plenty of bush tracks to go walking or bike riding. The township of Woodside is just up the road has a service station/Post office/shop. 15 minutes to township of Yarram and 35mins to Sale city. Entrance to our property is off Stringy Bark Lane. The first driveway as you turn off the main Road (High Street).

Please keep all tents and vans within close proximity to the cabin to ensure you are within my properties boundary and there are no overlaps.The terrain is sandy, however it's very compact and suitable for most sedans, vans and average vehicles.

"Bush Retreat Farm Stay" is a gorgeous little farm nestled on the fringe of the Alberton West State Forest, with views of Wilsons Prom and the Strezleckie Ranges. The state forest has many walking tracks that go on for miles, perfect if you want to go horse riding, motor bike riding or mountain biking or put on a pair of comfy walking shoes to hit the many walking tracks to take in the beautiful bush setting with the occasional wallaby or kangaroo darting out of the bush across your path. We have the Great Southern Rail Trail just on our door step. It has now been completed from Nyora all the way through to Yarram. We have on of the entrances off Lanes Road. Close to all local attractions - Port Albert, Port Welshpool long jetty, Woodside's beautiful 90 mile beach, Tarra Bulga National Parks, spectacular Agnes Falls and Wilson's Prom. Our camp sites have plenty of room we don't believe in cramming too many campers on the same site, you have plenty of space. Suitable for large caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and RV's these can all can fit here easily. Sites 1 - 2 situated in a 4 acre paddock on the main farm. Perfect for small camper vans, roof top tents and motor homes. Site 3-5 situated on part of a 7 acre paddock with views of the hills and of the kangaroos that come onto the paddocks of a night out of the Alberton West State Forest. This site is perfect for larger vans, RV's, camper vans, roof top tents, motor homes. Campfires are permitted (When there are no fire bans). No loud music, bring a camping toilet with you and take all rubbish with you. You'll need to have your own amenities/be FULLY- self contained however if you don't have your own toilet, camp shower or fire pit you can hire them. We have an abundance of native birds on our property. Rosella's, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles and sometimes Galah's. Just down the paddock on dawn and dusk we have a mob of kangaroos that come out of the bush to graze.

Dine out on fresh seafood and local wines at eateries across town. Choose from an excellent variety of waterfront restaurants and cafes, or find a sunny spot opposite the village green to enjoy a picnic. The kids will enjoy watching the pelicans eat their lunch outside the Metung Pub everyday at midday.
