Ashlan Farm is located is beautiful Boho South, North East Victoria in the tablelands of the Strathbogie Ranges. Hilltop House offers views over the orchard, Mt Wombat and Mt Seperation. It’s the perfect spot to base yourself and explore our beautiful part of the world. Perfect for anyone who is into nature, birdwatching or bushwalking. Great for couples, families or small groups. Ashlan is a working farm, and we also have an array of wildlife visiting. The property is a birdwatcher's delight, with a variety of species making the property home. If you like star gazing, you have found the right spot. We have no light pollution, so its the perfect place to take advantage of seeing the stars above. Unfortunately, as we are a working farm, the property is not pet friendly nor do we offer any animal experiences., however you may be lucky enough to see our friendly (and crazy goats). They do like a pat and love apples and mandarins. The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of six guests. Kitchen, wifi, laundry and BBQ. All guests will need to supply car registration details. This will give you access to the property. There is CCTV located at the front of the property and going up the driveway. We live onsite (in a separate house) if you need any assistance. No shooting, motorbikes or 4x4 is permitted on the property. You will need to bring your own supplies (food and drink) as the closest shop is 20 mins away. However feel free to go out for Friday night Fish and Chips at the Strathbogie Store, or check out the great country pubs at either Euroa or Violet Town. Just watch out for wildlife on the roads. Access to the property is also via approx 2kms of unsealed road. Ashlan Farm is 20 mins to Violet Town. Perfect if you wish to explore the Violet Town markets. 25 mins to Euroa 40 mins to both Benalla and Mansfield 90 minutes to Mt Buller

    Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Mobile and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

We live alongside echidnas, wombats, koalas, platypus, kangaroos, and a very friendly Kelpie. Although we live on the property, we do our utmost to maintain your privacy at all times. Idyllic rural property is located amongst the stunning granite boulders of Victoria's Strathbogie ranges. Gorgeous peaceful walks and places to just sit.... and sit some more....a perennial mountain creek borders this working farm - 20-30 mins from many local cafes, restaurants, pubs, and wineries. Take a creek walk....spot some platypus perhaps? Grey nomads might even use it as a refreshing break from the 'van! Plenty of parking...and star gazers are welcome to explore our very dark night sky. We provide a local sourdough loaf of bread to your cottage. Important to note: Local shops are 30 mins drive away so please bring any necessities with you. We welcome babes in arms and we can provide a portable cot, however, as this is a working farm with unfenced dams, creeks, and electric fencing we cannot accommodate toddlers or older children. No Pets permitted. We reserve the right to ask BnB guests to leave if a bushfire is nearby or if the Fire Danger Rating is extreme or catastrophic - we will offer a credit.
