Kielock Homestead

Kielock Homestead is a unique farm stay experience located centrally in the beautiful Kiewa Valley Victoria where you can camp right on the bank of the Kiewa River. Some of the activities available include fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird and animal watching and bike riding. If you choose you can join in on farm activities such as feeding the animals,  collecting eggs and planting/harvesting fruit and vegetables. We have a small market garden available where you can pick and purchase seasonal fresh produce, alternatively vegetable boxes and eggs are available by arrangement and delivered right to your campsite. Within the 200 acres of the property you will find it is home to many animals including kangaroos wombats platypus possums, bats and many bird and marine species. The main fish in the river are  trout and cod so if you would like to try your luck fishing this is the place for you.Some of the surrounding towns include Mt Beauty (20 mins), Yackandandah (30 mins), Bright (50 mins), Beechworth (50 mins) Falls Creek (60 mins) with the border towns of Albury and Wodonga only 50 mins away. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. For biosecurity reasons there is a strict No Pet policy. We look forward to greeting you upon arrival and showing you to your campsite.

Jackaleah Farm Stay - Camping

Natural river plain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers on site. Incredible central location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, North East Victoria. Minutes walk to Miranda Winery and King River Cafe or access the bike path linking Milawa and Oxley to Wangaratta. So much to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries. A key feature is the irrigation keep parts of the farm and many campsites green all year round.Jackaleah is approximately 2.5 hrs north of Melbourne and only minutes drive to quality restaurants and wineries in the local area. It has view to the surrounding mountains and is well set up for family stays or larger groups attending events, or just for that weekend get away.There is no toilet available here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace.Pets welcome, but must remain on leash. 

Go for a swim or cast a line in the King River. 

This gumtree is estimated to be around over 500 years old. These giants are a wonderful feature on the farm.

'A Bowl of Porridge' Mountain View

96 acres of bushland with outstanding views of mountains nestled in the Warby Ranges. This is a very private camp site with views of Wangaratta and the mountains.
In winter a waterfall runs through the property and walks through the bushland are for all fitness levels. Campfires allowed in the cooler months.

Bring your mountain bike and ride through the Warby National Park.  Sit and paint the scenery or meander along the kangaroo tracks taking in the sites and beautiful bushland.

Please don't park on the lawn, we try to keep it pristine for all our campers. We have put down fake turf for your convenience to set up your awnings etc.

The Mountain view can accommodate up to 3 caravans if travelling with friends, alternatively you will have a private and secluded spot to enjoy on your own.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAMPFIRE IS TO BE MONITORED AT ALL TIMES. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE FIRE BURNING IF NOT AT CAMPSITE.

150 acres of river flats with beautiful big gums, lagoons and 1km length of ovens river frontage.

 A beautiful grassy, shaded area with stunning views, privacy and seclusion. The site has a lovely sweeping bend that has water that's suitable for families to swim in with some shallow water for littlies to paddle in.  There is also some lovely sand for the kids to play in. Locally you are in the middle of the two famous valleys which offer some amazing gourmet experiences. You are within minutes from the King valley or the ovens Valley. And 50mins from Bright with all the beautiful towns and attractions on the way. You're spoilt for choice in this location for wineries, restaurants, berry farms. Famous town of Beechworth is only 30mins. Ideal location if you feel like leaving the magic camp ground that will provide you with a real sense of peace and relaxation with not a building in sight.

Aberdeen Farm and Flour Mill

Aberdeen is an organic farm that is home to the artisan flour mill Woodstock Flour.  Situated in the Rutherglen wine region, Aberdeen farm borders the beautiful Black Dog Creek and is a five minute drive from wineries and restaurants. 

Guests are welcome to a tour of the flour mill and farm with the owners Ian and Courtney. You can take home a bag of freshly milled flour or a rack of organic lamb from the farm to cook over the fire. 

We offer a private and large, grassy and level site that borders Black Dog Creek and is surrounded by majestic redgums. We do not offer facilities, so all campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, and take all their waste when they leave.  

We are 10 minutes from the Hume Fwy and just over five minutes from Rutherglen and surrounding wineries. There are a number of rail trails around Rutherglen and Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park is a 25-minute drive for bushwalking. Lake Moodemere and the Murray River are 15-30 minutes away for swimming, boating and fishing.

Walk along the beautiful Black Dog Creek which borders the property.
