4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here.
We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here.
This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here.
No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.
Hope Valley offers a peaceful and secluded camping experience, ideal for those looking to disconnect and unwind. Many campers appreciated the stunning natural surroundings, privacy, and the warm hospitality of the host, Anita. However, there are accessibility concerns, especially for those without a 4WD, due to creek crossings and rough roads. Overall, it is highly recommended for its tranquility and natural beauty, but visitors should be prepared for the terrain.
Absolutely gorgeous camp. Beautiful running creek to swim in, peace and quiet. Lovely bush walks. Anita was a lovely host. One of our top 5 camps. Highly recommend.
The site was lovely and private, however the ad is misleading as the entire property is in no way 2WD accessible. We had to cross through 2 creeks to get there, as well as a very poorly maintained dirt road. It rained the night before we were supposed to leave which caused the creek to rise significantly. We were unable to get back out of the property and had to be winched through by a neighbour
