Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is situated on the Roebank property and as party of the first settlement in this area, both Roebank and the neighbouring Peninsula House have historical significance in Bridgetown. The Roebank Cottage was built in 1890 by the grand-daughter of John Septimus Roe who was a famous civil engineer contributing to the original town planning of Perth City and Roebourne. In the early days, Roebank was used for livestock grazing and had the largest shearing shed this side of Bridgetown used by the neighbouring farmers. Over the years the property has been used as a pear orchard, goat farm and other small farming activities. Today the property operates as a family hobby farm with short-stay accommodation along the river residences and nature park sites on the high points offering scenic views of the valley.

The view is amazing. Such gorgeous countryside. Sheep were cute to see. Couldn’t fault a thing. A beautiful place to camp and for the kids to run around.

Absolutely stunning off-grid camp location, very close to Bridgetown centre. Unsealed roads in and out were easy in our hybrid van. Sites were nice & clear, a little unlevel so bring levelling ramps/chocks, very few trees on both Geegelup & Sisters Peak so got full solar, but Stonehenge & Brothers Hill had more canopy coverage. Low level phone signal both Optus & Telstra, supplied rock fire pits were awesome and plenty of dry, dead wood around property & along Penninsula Road too. Quite a grassy property which is no issue, gravel driveways and sites but easy to sink pegs (no drill needed). Dump point & water fill point in town centre. Kids adored the roaming sheep on the property, climbing the rocks and morning bushwalks. Views were truly spectacular. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

3. Sisters Peak

Sisters Peak was an actual gem! Ripper of a spot! Very quiet and a beautiful view. We will be back!
