Something Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. You can really kick back here and relax! The walls and ceilings have been extensively insulated. There is a wood heater in the kitchen and another one in the main part of the Shed so it can be kept nice and cosy despite its size! You can drive your car/van inside the shed if you wish or park it under any of the many surrounding trees. The Shed sleeps 10 in total (base price covers all 10), with 1 queen and 1 single bed in one room, 1 dbl bed and 2 single beds in another room, and 1 queen bed and 1 single bed in a third room. All linen, towels, etc. are provided. If you have more people, they are welcome to pitch a tent or park their caravan on the grounds around the shed. For a large group (say 10 plus) we charge an extra $20 (total) to cover the extra power you will need. There's a chook yard/dog yard with 2 kennels outside but you're welcome to have your dog (not chooks) inside the Shed. 14km from Donnybrook 37km from CollieSomething Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. At the 'Something Different Shed', you'll find a camping experience that blends rustic charm with modern comforts. Reviewers consistently highlight the spaciousness and versatility of the shed, which comes equipped with a full kitchen, comfortable beds, and plenty of games for entertainment. Visitors appreciate the beautiful setting, with opportunities for swimming, kayaking, and enjoying nature with family, friends, and even dogs. However, some guests noted noise from the nearby road and a gas gun, which could disrupt the otherwise peaceful environment.

Brilliant group spot to camp
Group trip
Fantastic spot for camping with the option of using the beds makes it a really versatile place! Swimming in the lake was wonderful and secure for dogs was great. Highly recommend this place, can't wait to come back in winter and the fires going with a bottle of red wine!

An Absolute Must
Group trip
This place was absolutely magical. The dam was clear and clean and even in January the area was green and lush. Vivien was so accommodating for our larger group and we had an absolutely fantastic time. The shed itself is large and spacious and well equipped with a kitchen, shower, multiple toilets, and any game you could possibly think of. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were well insulated. I can't recommend this property enough! Thank you Viven for an unforgettable weekend.

My stay at the Something Different Shed was an absolute delight! It truly lived up to its name, offering a unique camping experience with all the modern amenities you'd expect in a cozy retreat. The shed is beautifully designed, blending rustic charm with contemporary comfort. The space was impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway. From the comfortable bed to the well-stocked kitchenette, every detail was carefully considered. The outdoor area was equally inviting, with plenty of space for our convoy of caravans and a crystal clear dam ideal for a leisurely swim or kayak for those summer days and a firepit perfect for evening campfires and stargazing in the winter. What stood out most was the seamless balance between the charm of camping and the convenience of amenities. While I enjoyed the peacefulness of nature, I didn’t have to compromise on creature comforts like hot showers and a warm, cozy interior. The host Vivien was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure my stay was perfect from start to finish with great communication. We even had their dog Alfie pop over for a play with our dogs throughout the stay, which was a delight. Whether you're a seasoned camper looking to upgrade your experience or someone new to the idea of outdoor retreats, the Something Different Shed is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return!

Large Family Gathering
Group trip
Something different is the perfect getaway spot for a large family catch up. We spent 4 nights there and had the most wonderful time. It is located so close to some of the most stunning swimming spots, scrumptious breweries and wineries and a quick drive into Donnybrook for yummy bakery treats and a play on the playground for the kids. Something Different has everything you need. The kayaks in the dam were well loved by the kids and the well equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze. The owners are the most welcoming people and their dog Alfie was wonderful with our dog and the kids. Thank you, we will definitely be back!!

We had a great time with the kids and four dogs. Lots of room to run around, kayaking (or swimming for the dogs) in the dam and games to keep everyone entertained. We even saw 3 little lambs. Donnybrook isn’t too far so it doesn’t matter if you forget something or need a barista made coffee.

Good spot close to Bunbury/Donnybrook/Australind. We stayed at the SHED for a weekend in November 2024. (4 families) with 8 kids between us and 2 dogs. 1 family in a camper trailer & the others in the SHED. Our kids enjoyed using the kayaks on the dam. The massive kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans/cutlery and utensils plenty of room for us all just to kick back chill out, relax and recharge the batteries before silly season arrived 😜 Thank you Vivien
