68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket.
We have four sites available for self-contained campers, and one site that offers bathroom facilities.
Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region.
Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.
This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you.
Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.
This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you.
Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Hidden Corner
Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind.
This site has no facilities. We are only approved for self-contained campers/vans. You MUST bring a toilet with you.
Shed Pad with bathroom
Shed Pad is a powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with bathroom facilities, including a flushing toilet. This site is relatively flat, perfect for a couple of tents or two medium/one large caravan. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest.
Please note, this site has a two-night minimum stay requirement. Base price covers two people.
Amber Ridge offers a serene camping experience with plenty of privacy. Campers appreciate the spacious sites set far apart, allowing for peace and relaxation. Hosts Mick and Dawn are praised for their warm hospitality, providing helpful information about the area. The natural surroundings are ideal for dog owners, who love the freedom their pets have to explore.
Loved our time at Amber Ridge. So much serenity. Having a site to yourself and not being able to see the other camps was great. The hostess was very welcoming and up for a chat.
Great spot! Private, large area to set up camp. Summer time is obviously a bit hot but we used this as a base to explore the area and head to toward the coast. Dogs loved having the space and beautiful surrounds.
This is what hipcamping is all about. Beautiful locations, fuss free camping in nature.
We received a warm welcome from Mick and his special little helper. A folder of info/ideas of things to do in the local area was provided.
The sites are huge with lots of privacy. Each location is at least 200m from the next so you really feel like you have the place to yourself.
Very private - with great views over the countryside and no neighbours. Good for dogs as can play off lead as well - just need to be cautious of the 1080 baiting in forest behind the site and take precautions.
