This property has been in our family for over 30 years. It started out as a woody hillside and been transformed into a beautiful paylake. We started by taking 20 feet of dirt off the top of the hill and pushing it to the edges to create a flat area big enough to build on. Then we dug our 2 big paylakes and stocked them with catfish.GrayWolf PayLake in Southern Ohio hosts many different camping experiences. From staying in our canvas tipi, bring your own tent, camper, or rv. Choose to stay in our Tipi at our Flatrock (a rock floor formation with a mysterious historical story!). Or choose to pitch a tent or bring a camper or rv to stay shore side at GrayWolf PayLake.

Beautiful at night

You might not be sure if you’re in the right spot, but you are! We pulled in and it was a family-run plot of land. They offer fishing and have a little bait shop. You can pull your car right into your spot - they offer teepees and spots where you can just set up on your own. They have firewood for sale, and you are on a raised flat of land, where you can see all around you. The sky at night is beautiful. Super hospitable hosts that entertained some nice conversation with us for a while. Doesn’t seem to be a spot that would be too tolerant of any crazy party-like activity though, just in case anyone is looking for that.
