Nestled on 2 acres by the Albert river, protected and hidden away is this small but private gem. The camp area is only one site so its complete privacy for you and whoever you decide to bring along. Flowing Albert river with rapids, swimming holes and plenty of fishing spots. Australian bass and cod in the warmer months.
Plenty of flat grassed area and shade, perfect for families or groups with 5-6 caravans and some tents at any one time. No power or toilets/shower available so need to be self sufficient. Fire pit and wood available if needed. small golf chipping area for the kids. the driveway is a little steep heading into this site so an offroad van would be more suited.Riverside site can hold up to 5 caravans, level ground close to the river. It has a steep driveway into it so you would need an off-road van if you’re wanting to camp here.

Riverside Retreat offers a unique camping experience with plenty of space and beautiful natural surroundings. It is a private site where you can enjoy the tranquility of the area, with a beautiful creek perfect for swimming and fishing. The host, Luke, is consistently praised for his friendliness and helpfulness, often going out of his way to ensure the grass is mowed and the campsite is well-maintained. However, be prepared for some noise from the nearby road and potential challenges with access, especially if it rains.

Omg how good is this place so beautiful. You really feel like you are in another world. Such an oasis so peaceful and tranquil the sounds of the birds and the water runing over the rocks. Even though you are right next to the road you are in a very peaceful secluded and private spot. Luke your host responded to messages so quickly was a great host. Well worth every cent you pay for this site. Will definitely be back to this spot for sure

Loved my stay at this very private site, When you book you will have the whole site to yourself so its perfect for a big group or small. Luke the host was great and organsied firewood for me and told alot about the area. You are close to the road but its completely private and a little haven for bird life and the albert river is a joy to explore with deep swimming holes, fish and rushing rapids to float down. Great little fire pit and very well mantained. Highly recommend.

Absolutely a great spot. Nice grass and beautiful river. Host is great and very friendly.
Definitely need a 4x4 and off road caravan to access the spot. Driveway in is a bit tricky and slippery. Could do with cut and gravel to make it level. Will definitely be back

Awesome camp site, large flat green patch, beautiful creek right next to it. Great for swinging and floating. Unfortunately there were a lot of cicadas which were very loud pretty much as long as the sun was up, but that's not anyone's fault.
Luke was very friendly and easy to communicate with. However didn't appreciate someone coming to mow the camp site lawn before 9am when check out was stated 12pm.

We had the best time camping at Riverside Retreat. Had the whole place to ourselves. Luke popped down to check on us, was lovely to meet him. He was so willing to offer any help at anytime needed. Creek was clear and running, grass freshly mowed - couldn't ask for more.

Luke was a great host. Made sure he had the grass mowed before we turned up even if had to do it in the rain. Beautiful spot by the creek. Will definately return. Thanks
