Set near Vernon on the west side of Kalamalka Lake in the scenic north Okanagan Valley, Kekuli Bay Provincial Park is popular with swimmers, water skiers, paddleboarders, and boaters, who can gain lake access via a boat launch. The beach park features a playground and picnic sites, and is close to local wineries and hiking trails. The Okanagan Rail Trail also bisects the park near the water, providing easy walking or cycling opportunities north and south along Kalamalka Lake. It’s typically hot in summer, though several Kekuli Bay campsites are shaded by mature trees.
The best time to visit Kekuli Bay Provincial Park is during the main operating season from March 27 to October 14. The park's serene atmosphere and warm sun make spring and fall ideal for a visit, while summer offers vibrant rose blooms and lake breezes.
