Superior Wayside Rustic road is a primitive road passing thru the middle of the property giving access to hundreds of acres of state land. Forrest is a mix of maple, aspen, and old growth hemlock trees. Perfect unique secluded quiet spot between Marquette and Munising with almost instant access to local hiking, biking, skiing, and snowmobile/atv trails. Pictured Rocks/ Munising- 27 miles Marquette- 13 mi Ramba- 21 mi North Country trail- 3.8 mi Lake Superior scenic turn out- 4.8mi Ojibwa casino 1.8 mi Lakenenland- 3.4 Sugar loaf- 15 mi Au Train- 25mi Laughing whitefish falls- 21 miPitch your tent next to a large fire ring along the tree line in the yard. Main home in plain view. Plenty of room to set up a hammock, yard games, or picnic. Rustic Road to the north will take you to Lake LeVasseur. Lake LeVasseur is a managed marsh complex, created in 1953 with placement of a dam on LeVasseur Creek. The area is maintained by the DNR’s Wildlife Division and is designed to create unique marshland habitat, including critical nesting and stopover ground for migrating waterfowl, such as mallards, wood ducks, blue-winged teal, ring-necked ducks and Canada geese.
