A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. If you love the outdoors - either just to chill or to actively recreate - this place is for you. As an outdoor educator, I have worked and played in the valley and surrounds for more than 25 years and I'm still discovering new things to see and do! Advancetown Lake is a short drive away with paddling, sailing and fishing and no power boats or jetskis (Yeeha!!) There is a mountain bike park on the E side of the dam. You can walk from here to Springbrook and Lamington National Parks and the glow worms at Natural Bridge are a night time "must see".The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. A unique area with an amazing setup
The floating tent was just the start of our weekend in the wilderness. While floating on air, the setup the kitchen, fridge, fire place, shower are a hybrid of the great outdoors and a hotel. We Closed our eyes with the sound of the adjacent creek flowing and woke with the swaying trees in the morning. The birds whistling and horses In The distance would be heard while having breakfast.. our stay went by so quick as we lost time. Andrew is a delightful host with a wealth of knowledge of the local area and pretty much anything you ask him. He is conscientious towards his guest ensuring our comfort from start to end. I would highly recommend a getaway to Andrew’s piece heaven. Thanks Andrew and we will plan to be back soon.

Highly recommend
Andrew’s hospitality was beautiful (we even had fresh homegrown herbs in a vase within the kitchen area for our use) and his knowledge of the area was excellent . The facilities were all great….from the hammock, stove, bbq, fire pit incl. firewood, outdoor shower and a drop toilet with no smell….we will definitely be back. Thanks for allowing us to share a piece of the wonderful property you’re lucky enough to call home!
