SPROUT FED BEEF property with animals of all kinds in the granite belt. At Woodspring we sprout barley grass daily and feed our steers to perfection to sell direct to the public. We are all about paddock to plate food learning! We also have a breeding herd of classic Australian Shorthorn, a pony named Chief, alpacas, sheep, dogs, ducks, geese, chickens, guinea fowl, peacocks and pigs. Guest dogs are not permitted. NOTE: no hunting

A peaceful night on the creek

I spent a night at Woodspring & had the creek all to myself. The night sky & stars were amazing & the peaceful setting gave me a great nights sleep. I was awoken by the moo alarm & had fun getting to know some of the many characters. They are an inquisitive herd with quite a few very young calves among them. It was good to chat to Ben about his approach to nutrition, animal welfare & land management. His passion for what he does is evident and as the health & vitality of all of us depends on well researched, innovative & conscious meat producers …… he is a needle in a haystack.

A real cattle farm

Woodspring Farm Powered Campsite

We were greeted by Ben on arrival at the farm and shown to a very flat and suitable site for our van. He also arranged for a power lead to be available. Ben is very knowledgeable and dedicated to his cattle farm and takes the production of very high quality meat products very seriously. He took time to show us around his property and the techniques he uses to maximize the output of the property. Thanks Ben and family for a very enjoyable stay over.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodspring Farm. The hosts Ben and Sarah were so welcoming and their children and ours had a ball together. It was the perfect spot for us to chill out for the week while also learning a lot about the farm's operations. Looking forward to returning later in the year. Thanks again guys.

We had a great stay at Ben’s Hipcamp and really appreciated the guided farm tour of his property. We picked up a few steaks and sausages and they were brilliant! Thanks for your hospitality :)
